Perhaps help is on the way from the Mariner farm system? I'll dig through Keith Law's reports today and come back with the prized prospects marinating in the Seattle minor leagues. Hang tight.....
So QS's are dumb because of days where a team has to use their bullpen more then they like? QS's are much more indicative of a SP's performance than a win.Hence the reason QS are dumb
What is there to get? It allows you to make a change if you get an injury and to get other SP into the lineup that have starts over the weekend if you don't have two start guys going but it doesn't make it so you have to be on all the time to make daily changes.I don't get leagues like this.
Nope. The cupboard is bare, Mother Hubbard.Perhaps help is on the way from the Mariner farm system? I'll dig through Keith Law's reports today and come back with the prized prospects marinating in the Seattle minor leagues. Hang tight.....
Trader JerryNope. The cupboard is bare, Mother Hubbard.
There are better ways to reach the same intelligence level as other people, gb. Try reading a book, maybe. Most any Cardinal should be kicked in the head.
Dipoto inherited a thin farm system from Jack Z. The Mariners had a very poor run with top draft picks. Danny Hultzen was a can't miss prospect who got hurt. Ackley, DJ Peterson and Alex Jackson just weren't as good as advertised. Mike Zunino is a success story by Mariners standards.Epic Problem said:Trader Jerry
You'd think all of that activity would net the Ms something in the pipeline. Instead, they're just getting piped.
He's busy looking for a Borders that will sell him the other one.

Most of his trades have been at or near the major league level. I assume he's getting marching orders from ownership to put a competitive team on the field now rather than to build for the future. A lot of the trades seem like shuffling assets to fill short-term gaps. The Chris Taylor trade is the obvious outlier but he wasn't the same player at the time and may not have developed in Seattle.
Why don't you let us know what the hell went on in that slap fight between two Milwaukee sports reporters over a mediocre looking female reporter? Is this real life Anchor Man stuff?I'm a busy man. Waiting for someone to critique my resume
Haha, I just heard about that this morning. The female and her boyfriend work at different, competing stations. The one who punched her boyfriend works with her. Pretty funny stuffWhy don't you let us know what the hell went on in that slap fight between two Milwaukee sports reporters over a mediocre looking female reporter? Gallardo will be signed by Seattle within the fortnight.Camden Yards had its smallest crowd in park history last night. Today, Yovani Gallardo was DFA'd by Reds.
It was a run!
Apparently in 1997, there was a Jays/White Sox game, also on April 9 that drew 746, so this isn't even a record low for White Sox
@TBTimes_Rays
Word is the actual attendance at Monday's #Rays-#WhiteSox game - people who used tickets to come in - was 974
Shawn Greene was listed in that boxscore. He is a forgotten great player. I never hear his name mentioned, but he was excellent both offensive and defensively--he had a cannon from out in RF.Apparently in 1997, there was a Jays/White Sox game, also on April 9 that drew 746, so this isn't even a record low for White Sox

A couple months after this game Kenny Williams traded Alvarez and the aged Danny Darwin for Keith Foulke/Bobby Howry/Mike Caruso for what was derided as a white flag deal but turned out to be very good for the Pale Hose.
There was like a foot of snow on the field at 9 am. The real question is why 950 people even decided to go.How can a budding team like the White Sox have <1000 people at a game? That’s crazy.
With Francisco Rodriguez getting released by the Phillies this year, his long career may finally be at its end. As NV said, it's still rare for MLB closers to be that young. Organizations give prospects opportunities to fail in starter roles and even when converted to relievers, there are economic reasons to keep pre-arb pitchers in lower leverage roles.Roberto Osuna is the youngest ever to 100 saves, at 23 years, 62 days old. Next youngest was Francisco Rodriguez at 24 years, 246 days old.
I don't think this is that remarkable because most 20 year olds with stuff like Osuna are starters (and in the minors) and should be, but if he were to stay healthy/effective, could put up some interesting career totals...
#MathenyedI don't know why St Louis let Wainwright bat for himself with two on trailing 3-0 in the bottom of the 5th. It's not 2013 anymore.

This Lance McCuller's cat must be frustrating to have shares of.
McGwire needs a face punch.
Way to Jinx us.I know there is a big rivalry between New York and Boston but it is an utter disgrace that the Boston Police haven’t been called to Fenway Park yet because the Red Sox are killing the Yankees.
I'm already on to the Celtics and Miracle. Oof!Grand Slam puts us right back in it
Skaggs has been excellent and Richards seems OK back the tail end of their rotation is much weaker than Houston'sBesides Ohtani, the Angels as a team are red hot. Winning again 5-1 tonight, about to sweep Texas in Arlington.
The Angels have won every series and are off to their best start in years. And Trout isn’t even hitting well yet.
I do love the shtick of a player getting all upset that he gets beaned after he does something dooshy.Yanks-Sox brawl. Fairly tame but there will be some suspensions.
It's the most Joe Kelly thing ever that he missed the first time he tried to hit him.I do love the shtick of a player getting all upset that he gets beaned after he does something dooshy.
