WR Andre Holmes, Bills (1 Viewer)

For context: except for Mcfadden and his TD, stat lines for the whole offense sucked. Jones had lowest yardage total of the year and he's been very consistent.

I'll start to worry if Holmes has less than 7 targets next week.
you realize this is the raiders, right? Pretty sure their offense is gonna suck all year. A bad showing vs the 32nd ranked pass def at home proves last week was the fluke, not this week.
By 1.4 TDs and 40 yards it was a statistically below average receiving day for the 2014 Raiders with Carr @ QB. Since the game was not typical, Ill wait for a larger sample size.

That's what I've read. Haden has sucked this year but played a good game against Cecil Shorts last week.

Rotoworld:

Andre Holmes secured 5-of-7 targets for 69 yards and a touchdown in the Raiders' Week 8 loss to Cleveland.

Holmes continued to run routes on the perimeter, with Kenbrell Thompkins mixing in for season-high usage. Holmes had a solid gain down the sideline negated when he was flagged for offensive pass interference, and save for Mychal Rivera (7-83) no member of Oakland's pass-catching corps had a big box score against the Browns. Holmes saved the fantasy owners who started him with a ten-yard touchdown in fourth-quarter garbage time. He'll be a WR4 when the Raiders take on the Seahawks in Week 9.

Is there anything to see here after the SEA game? Is he still a potential difference maker overshadowed by the Moncrief and Martavis hype? Or is it time to move on because of the poor offense he's part of?

I haven't given up on him yet. Out of his last 4 weeks he's had 1 fantastic game, 2 good games and 1 dud. He scored a td last week. He's a solid wr3 or flex play. This week vs Seattle I'm shying away from him but after that Id consider starting him.

According to Andy Benoit (SI), Holmes was running more than just perimeter routes, as Rotoworld suggested. Silva suggests in his matchups column that Holmes runs mostly on the right side, so he could be avoiding Sherman. It could wind up being another garbage-time deluxe for this guy.

#Raiders Film: Holmes a lot of crossing patterns this game, caught the ball on the move well. Expanding to being more than just vertical guy

Man, do I have the guts to start him over Vincent Jackson is the question. I was looking for an excuse to do it like the suggestion in the previous post that he might avoid Sherman.

Rotoworld:

Andre Holmes was held catch-less in Week 10 against the Broncos, seeing one target.

We watched the game, but didn't chart it, and didn't see much of Holmes. Increasingly inefficient, it's possible Holmes' role has been reduced on OC Greg Olson's offense. He did have a tough matchup against Chris Harris and Aqib Talib, and shouldn't have been started in fantasy leagues in the first place. But now it's fair to wonder if Holmes will even be a WR3 option against the Chargers in Week 11.

Rotoworld:

Andre Holmes - WR - Raiders

Andre Holmes played on 40-of-63 snaps (63.4 percent) in Sunday's loss to the Broncos.

It's roughly the same percentage Holmes has been at for the last month, quelling some concerns that he had been passed up by Vincent Brown (24 snaps). James Jones led the way with 43 snaps, intriguing Brice Butler saw 34 and Denarius Moore got 23. So we can partially chalk Holmes' airball up to a brutal matchup against Chris Harris/Aqib Talib and partially blame it on a pass game that is suddenly spreading the wealth wide. The Week 11 matchup against the Chargers is good, but Holmes will carry risk as a WR3. Tight end Mychal Rivera seems to be Derek Carr's favorite garbage-time target right now.

These incompetent boobs can't even figure out that Butler should be the #1, Jones the # 2 and Holmes or Thompkins the #3. Brown should be working at McDonalds.

Rotoworld:

Andre Holmes secured 2-of-6 targets for 19 yards in the Raiders' Week 11 loss to the Chargers.

Holmes' target totals the past four weeks are 7, 5, 1, and 6. With Oakland's offense now seemingly incapable of powering throws downfield, Holmes has disappeared from the fantasy WR3 radar. The Raiders will play their next game on Thursday night against Kansas City. Avoid Holmes in re-draft leagues.

Rotoworld:

Andre Holmes - WR - Raiders

Andre Holmes caught 5-of-10 targets for 55 yards in Oakland's Week 10 win over the Chiefs.

The five catches were Holmes' most since Week 8. Altogether, it wasn't that great of a night for the fourth-year pro, who had a few miscommunications with Derek Carr. His biggest catch could have easily been a Chiefs interception, but DB Ron Parker mistimed his jump. Holmes will remain a crapshoot WR4/5 for Week 13 against the Rams.

Rotoworld:

ESPN Raiders reporter Bill Williamson suggests restricted free agent Andre Holmes could garner interest from other teams.
NFL clubs very rarely lose their restricted free agents because of the way the system is structured. But the Raiders may want to tender Holmes at a level higher than normal as he's shown flashes of difference-making ability at 6'4/210. Over the last two seasons (26 games), Holmes has recorded 72-1,124-5 with a pair of 100-yard outings.

Rotoworld:

Andre Holmes and Kenbrell Thompkins are competing for the Raiders' No. 4 receiver job.

Amari Cooper, Michael Crabtree, and Rod Streater operated as the Raiders' top-three receivers during the spring and will head to camp atop the depth chart. Thompkins reportedly impressed during padless practices, while Holmes didn't generate much buzz. Holmes is a legitimate downfield threat, but Derek Carr didn't throw deep as a rookie and Holmes tumbled down the depth chart. It'd probably be best for Holmes to escape the Black Hole and get a fresh start elsewhere.

Bills signed WR Andre Holmes a three-year, $6.5 million contract.
It's $2 million higher than the deal reported earlier this week. Holmes is coming off consecutive nondescript seasons as Oakland's No. 4 receiver behind Amari Cooper, Michael Crabtree, and Seth Roberts. He lands in a good spot with Buffalo as a veteran flyer. Holmes adds depth in a red-zone/deep threat role.
