With the new kickoff rules, guys like Shenault and Patterson are perhaps becoming more valuable from an NFL perspective, even if their roles on offense are minimal at best.

Agree, More valuable in NFL game plan, but not so much in Fantasy unless you get Return Yards in your scoring.

Right - but even if you have return yardage, not sure how much any of these guys are going to move the needle much. Makes them rosterable though, I guess, in deeper leagues.
