The hate for Keon Coleman feels like an overcorrection for how N'Keal Harry turned out. Basically nobody wants to be stuck with a N'Keal Harry. But I could also see a scenario where Coleman ends up being a stud and a lot of us feel silly for doubting him given his obvious physical talent and great landing spot.
What exactly counts as an overcorrection?
He's going as a 1st round pick. He was the 8th WR off the board. I don't mean to say that 32 vs 33 makes some huge difference. I'm not saying draft capital is everything. But there's certainly a reasonable thought process for Coleman going back half of the 1st round.
Benson and Brooks are in good spots.
Brock Bowers is supposed to be a generational talent at TE.
Caleb is supposed to be a generational talent at QB.
I liked Ladd McConkey better going into the draft. I really liked his landing spot. And he only went 1 pick later.
I don't HATE the guy. I have concerns. He doesn't separate well. Big WR's that don't separate well don't always hit. Maybe he will. But man, there's a lot of reasons to push him to the later part of the 1st round.
