WR Antonio Brown, FA (1 Viewer)

CTE is a hell of a thing.
Honestly, whether it’s CTE or mental illness (one of which seems likely) how incredibly sad. Imagine going from a world class athlete who may be a bit of a jerk, and having a brain injury or mental illness change who you are and leave you with no impulse control. Your life spirals and you have no control. Tragic

I blame Burfict.
You are spot on. He has never been the same since that hit. I am a concussion expert, and I treat a lot of behavioral problems which result from traumatic brain injury. I highly suspect his behavioral issues are related to that head trauma, +/- CTE

Some Steelers players have said that Antonio was a problem before the hit. Tomlin was just able to handle him, and they didn't air their dirty laundry to the public.

Not to downplay CTE ,but it seems like an easy out for acting like a jerk

I think it's both. I suspect the way he lives his life is completely devoid of any stabilizing / normalizing influences. Anything goes and anything does.

How did he not get arrested? Gotta think if I whip my crank out at a public pool im getting escorted to a not so pleasant place.
Im sure if the cops walked in on this as it was happening he would have been arrested or stopped and questioned at least. Things like this that come out after the fact are investigated , the cops probably heard about it when the story broke . We dont really know if this was a public pool or a party at someones home ,we dont know his relationship with the woman in the video , so many unknowns . It happened in Dubai ,what are the laws there ?

I guess. Read it was a hotel pool. Quick google search said public indecency in Dubai is a minimum six months in jail. You’re right though, we only know the details as reported.

What I feel like saying to this kind of thing: Can I have some head trauma so I can do whatever I want and shirk the blame?

But I know there's truth to that.

But it's tough to say how much that should affect how one views the person committing whatever actions.

I would say that most of the folks I deal with who have behavioral problems after TBI typically had some type of “personality” or behavior before the injury. The TBI just exacerbates the behavior, decreases impulse control.

More fighters than not lead exemplary lives after they retire , if any group of athletes are going to have CTE its people who get hit in the head for most of their lives . Micky Ward from Lowell is in early stages now , hes always been a complete gentleman and im gonna say he remains that way no matter what . His brother Dicky Eklund has always been kind of a jerk , if he had CTE i can see him being a staying an Ahole

CTE may be real but it is a BS excuse for AB. He was a tool all the way back to his youth. He got kicked out of FIU for assaulting a security guard. He couldn't get into D1 programs because he was too dumb for college. Had to walk-on at Central Michigan. Ask how a kid that couldn't get into FSU when they wanted him, and gets kicked out of FIU ends up in Michigan ...cause nobody else wanted him no matter the talent. He cleaned up for long enough to make money then went back to what he always was. Just with the money to reek havok on a bigger level. There are no excuses for this guy. Wish Dubai had tossed him in jail.

Tampa police issue arrest warrant for former Buccaneer Antonio Brown for domestic battery

Former Buc WR Antonio Brown accused of domestic violence. According to court docs, mother of 4 of his kids says he locked her out of her Tampa house, tossed out her belongings, threatened to shoot her, threw a shoe at her, then refused @TampaPD request to come out.

Who throws a shoe, honestly?
This guy
I was thinking of this guy
