**Steelers (10-7) at Bills (11-6)** (-10, 36.5) Sun 1pm (1 Viewer)

People thinking the bad weather was an advantage to the Steelers due to the run game. No, not really. Josh Allen would be the best runner on the field and he has a strong enough arm to cut through the wind. Mason can't run and he's not as strong a thrower. And the bills would probably have a special teams advantage (punting for sure). The weather wasn't really their friend.
I don’t think wind is a big deal for throws less than 15 yards but anyone trying throw a deep pass in 40-50 mph gusts is going to have trouble
And where's the supposed advantage for the Steelers then? The Bills are 7th in rush yards per game, Steelers are 13th. Josh Allen can run with the best of them, Mason is a statue. Josh would have better luck throwing in the wind than Mason.

Do you seriously think the governor declared a state of emergency in an attempt to influence the outcome of a football game? Come on, man.

Probably the right decision but it royally screws any fans that traveled to Buffalo fir the game
100% the right decision. Does suck for them, but hopefully they can get Monday off work too, and the conditions won't be quite AS miserable for them in the stands.
Totally not the right decision.. Remember back when football was played in snow.. But again, the NFL wants Buffalo to advance.
You can't actually be serious. It's literally illegal for the players or fans to drive to the stadium. And no you can't just move the game 24 hrs in advance to another city/building when you can just as easily push it back a day.

The absolute ridiculous stance people will make just because they put a bet on something is mindblowing. It's a football game and the state is in a state of emergency.

C'mon, be better than that.

The NFL has been playing in snow forever. Is this the worst weather game in history? Since when did they start caring about safety from a snow game? Is this going to start a precedent? To hell with history. Vince Lombardi would be ashamed of this. Should they have postponed the ice bowl game? What abut the Bengals / Chargers playoff game a few decades ago? Now that was cold. Never heard of a game being moved because of snow.

It was a girl’s decision not to play football, got it.

Yeah, let's wait until the last minute when this forecast was known for how long? Stupidity at it's finest. Let people that wanted to travel all that way & then say oh sorry, moved to a Monday work day.

Couldn’t remember that they started doing that because of snow. Was it because of just snow, or other circumstances? What year did they start doing that? Not counting when snow caved in the Metrodome roof or some other factors.

2010 - Vikings vs Eagles: The Sunday Night Football game was postponed to Tuesday because of a snowstorm in Philadelphia.

2010 - Vikings vs Eagles: The Sunday Night Football game was postponed to Tuesday because of a snowstorm in Philadelphia.
  1. 1989 - 49ers vs Patriots: The game had to be moved to Stanford University due to damage at Candlestick Park from the Loma Prieta earthquake
  2. 1992 - Patriots vs Dolphins: The opening day game was rescheduled to Oct. 18 due to Hurricane Andrew.
  3. 2003 - Chargers vs Dolphins: The Monday Night Football game had to be played in Tempe, Arizona due to the conditions in San Diego from the Cedar Fire.
  4. 2004 - Bengals vs Buccaneers: The preseason game was postponed two days until August 16 due to Hurricane Charley.
  5. 2004 - Titans vs Dolphins: The opening day game had to be rescheduled due to Hurricane Ivan
  6. 2004 - Steelers vs Dolphins: The September 25 was moved from 1 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. due to Hurricane Jeanne.
  7. 2005 - Chiefs vs Dolphins: The Oct. 23 game was moved up two days due to Hurricane Wilma.
  8. 2008- Texans vs Ravens: The game was postponed due to Hurricane Ike. As a result of the change, the Texans game against the Bengals had to be moved forward from Nov. 9 to Oct. 26.
  9. 2010 - Vikings vs Giants: Due to a snow storm in Minnesota and damage to the Metrodome, the game was played in Detroit. Due to the same situation, the Vikings had to move their game against the Bears to the University of Minnesota campus.
  10. 2010 - Vikings vs Eagles: The Sunday Night Football game was postponed to Tuesday because of a snowstorm in Philadelphia.
  11. 2014 - Jets vs Bills: The Nov. 23 game had to be be moved to Detroit and was played on Nov. 24 also due to a snowstorm in Buffalo.
Only looks like two to me

I see the problem. No one bats an eye if a game is delayed due to a hurricane. But you can’t delay a game due to a rain storm.

One is a much more powerful and impactful storm than the other.

Guess what? There are different levels of snow storm as well. This is one that is capable of killing dozens of people.

Maybe we need a name for it so people can understand. 😂
Blizzicane?
We already have thundersnow

Seriously? You don’t think safety has become more important to the league since the 60s?
You think the NFL shouldn’t abide by the Governor’s decision?
You’re being ridiculous here.
But by all means, let’s divert emergency providers and put players and fans safety at risk because we need our foosball.

I'm honestly embarrassed for some of you guys. This is an act of God and moving the game harms both teams. Nobody wants this. Grow up and be an adult.
I'm sure Vince Lombardi, Tom Landry, Hank Stram, Bart Starr, Bob Lilly and D Butkus agree with you 🤔

Safety means nothing, only history matters ;) Jesus people, some of you are so gullible and easy to rile.
Maybe, I took your post seriously. But, good to see you’re backing off that.

So when the NFL converts to the National Flag Football League, (NFFL), will they play games in snow?

All :bs: aside, I do rather like the schedule - 2 AFC games on Saturday, 2 NFC on Sunday, one each on a federal holiday (hopefully). Too bad the Monday games aren’t both the 2-7 seed.

Enjoy the game tomorrow. Monday AFTERNOON

Well, considering 4 pages of this, it's probably time for some humor. Which is better than regurgitating the same thing over and over. There is only so much you can say about snow.

Right, it was someone’s decision who has no authority to do what she did. She told Pittsburgh fans on Friday not to come to Buffalo.. Then Saturday after Pittsburgh fans were already there or on their way, she puts a travel ban on for a storm that was predicted to do what it is doing 5-6 days earlier. So now what about the fans, who have to work Monday and yes a lot of people still work Monday, who drove to Buffalo and were leaving Sunday after the game.

The NFL caved to her.

This is a odd take. People could literally die of exposure in this storm. Playing it one day later isn't the end of the world. It's a first round playoff game. Have some perspective.

A couple people now can't make it. Bfd. People get tickets to sporting events all the time that get cnx. Masters being one of the riskiest. It happens.

You're upset and making a big deal of a sports game being moved a day when peoples literal lives are at risk.

A couple people now can't make it. Bfd. People get tickets to sporting events all the time that get cnx. Masters being one of the riskiest. It happens.
yeah, that hasn't been said yet in this thread yet.
You already admitted your takes aren't serious and you're just having fun with this.

IT WASN'T THE NFL'S DECISION.

The NFL caved to her.

...and that's the main reason.

No, No. If we don’t get our foosball on schedule what ever will we do!? This is just a plot by the Illuminati to ruin our lives!!!1!!

As much as I despise Kathy and hated they move the game. I must say. I don't even think people could find the stadium today if they tried. I'm less than 10 miles from the stadium and it is brutal out here. Appears the right call was made.
The wrong call could be not having the Steelers come in yesterday. Today so far is much worse than yesterday afternoon. We shall see.

Based on what you see is there even hope to have things clear by tomorrow? It doesn’t seem like it 😕
