Reggie Wayne Likely Retiring After 2014 (1 Viewer)

Reggie Wayne admitted there is a "real" chance he retires following the 2014 season.

"It’s tough, it really is," Wayne said. "You have to decide if you want to make that sacrifice again. A lot goes into it." The Colts may make the decision for Wayne. In the final year of his contract, Wayne has been adamant he will only play in Indianapolis. If the Colts decide to move on following the season, Wayne would likely decide to hang up his cleats. Wayne's 14,202 career receiving yards are the most among active players and the eighth-most all-time.

I can see him hanging it up, or if the broncos decide welker is not effective anymore, giving reggie one more year with Mr. Manning...(this also depends on how Denver feels about Lattimore)

Latimer is going to be a factor next year.

Wayne is toast. He will retire. If he doesn't, he'll remain in Indy for a final season to be a player-coach for the young studs.

When players start talking about retirement, it is usually a done deal.
I don't know about that, but the timing is a bit surprising considering the team is locked in a playoff chase.

Maybe he's trying to garner some support knowing that Moncrief is making strides quickly.
