If Hunt has anything at all left in the tank, he can be RB1 in Minnesota. May just be me but I don't think Mattison is the answer for this scheme.
Yeah, it's just you.

ESPN’s Kevin Seifert reports Vikings HC Kevin O’Connell said Kareem Hunt “is maybe a potential fit on our football team.”
O’Connell also stated that the visit was similar to other free agent visits this offseason, designed to “build a relationship, gain a little more information.” That doesn’t sound promising as far as a potential signing goes, particularly after running back Ty Chandler’s showing during Thursday’s preseason game. Alexander Mattison remains entrenched in the lead back role for the Vikings, a role that could result in one of only a handful of workhorse volumes remaining in the league.
Chance of Miller beginning the season on IR. Hunt is a strong possibility for the Saints now.Kendre Miller left the Saints preseason game with a sprained knee. I wonder if that re-ignites their interest in Hunt.
...but is Hunt interested in signing with the Saints? Yeah, it's a good opportunity for 3 weeks, but after that he'll be relegated to all purpose backup. I think he'll do it if the Saints offer his asking price, but if it's still just what he's been offered to this point I'd bet on him continuing to wait.Chance of Miller beginning the season on IR. Scans revealed a minor sprain in Saints RB Kendre Miller’s knee, per source. He’s expected to miss a week or two of action.
I don't know that signing Darrell Williams necessarily precludes the Saints from signing Hunt, or deters Hunt at all.Saints have signed former Chiefs RB Darrell Williams. Hunt is headed elsewhere.

Is Darrell Williams more than a just camp body? I just don't see him being the roadblock that Hunt is trying to avoid.I don't know that signing Darrell Williams necessarily precludes the Saints from signing Hunt, or deters Hunt at all.
I liked this comment until I thought about it. Williams, Williams, Kamara, Miller. They're only going to keep four on the roster, most likely. Maybe Miller goes on PUP so they can make room for five, but this sounds like it does preclude Hunt from signing in New Orleans.
I do not know how suspensions work with the roster.

I would say upon signing, Williams is pencilled in as the Saints #2 RB on opening day.Is Darrell Williams more than a just camp body?
First 3 weeks of Jamaal as the main 2 down back and Darrel as the 3rd down back should be the plan. With Cook off to the Jets, how about Hunt now to the Dolphins. They need one RB with a little lead in his *** to salt away games who can also be used in the hurry up offense, makes a lot of sense to me.Honestly I think for now the backfield sounds like a fantasy nightmare. Its a shame Williams just couldn't be their guy right off the bat which I was all in on and still think ultimately he will get the carries until kamara is back. But hunt I felt was a talent that I was ok seeing how it rolled if he signed, but Darrel Williams just gets to that point of not worth the hassle for 3 weeks. He's had a few bangers but like I don't see him getting much work over Jamaal.
I can't believe Zeke got signed before hunt and fournette tbh... But yea hunt to dolphins is solid.First 3 weeks of Jamaal as the main 2 down back and Darrel as the 3rd down back should be the plan. I understand conditioning is an issue for Fournette, so that is no surprise. Both Zeke and Hunt appeared to have lost a step last season, but either one fills a veteran reserve role.I can't believe Zeke got signed before hunt and fournette tbh... ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports Kareem Hunt has received offers from four teams over the past week.
Hunt “continues to wait for the right offer,” per Fowler. What Hunt is waiting for is unclear, though Jonathan Taylor being placed on the PUP list could make the Colts a leading contender in landing the 28-year-old back who saw a decline in play last season in Cleveland. It’s hard to say if Hunt would instantly become the Colts’ lead back, with rookie Evan Hull and pass-catching specialist Deon Jackson competing for targets. Hunt is worth a late-round pick in deep fantasy formats.
He's not the same RB he was, but worth a wait and see for sure.Such a hard guy for me to gage value on. First off, he is still teamless. He has always been that guy where you think he should carry the load somewhere. He has been such a good RB. Runs hard and catches. Elusive. The problem with rbs is that your really good. Then your not. At 28 is he still really good? So hard to know, but worth a back end roster spot for sure.
He's been sitting at the end of my bench for a while now...the seat is getting warm and my "drop button" is getting bigger. Hope there is movement SOON.
Gee, I wonder who the "source" is. (Hint: Rhymes with schmagent)

Yeah, but the vets you pick up after the season starts are vets you aren't scared of losing. Because someone else can sign them.I think it's more likely something happens week 2. If he's on a roster week 1, then he is guaranteed the full season, right? If he's picked up after week 1, then he can be cut anytime after without having to be paid out? Is that still how it works?
I have no doubt he's getting offers and what I've always hoped he would do is be very patient this time and glad to see that's the course he has taken.
That course of action doesn't help ME!!!!I have no doubt he's getting offers and what I've always hoped he would do is be very patient this time and glad to see that's the course he has taken.
We all see things thru different lenses. Spiller is not someone I really want on my squad. To this point, he is someone I would have been afraid to start. Additionally, if I had him, barring a complete travesty of rbs on my squad, he would almost surely be the first that I would drop when I wanted to pick up a new players. Hunt, might be (mostly) done, he might not be. But odds are that within a few weeks you have the answer to the question. Either you got yourself a bargain or he is clearly droppable. He's been sitting at the end of my bench for a while now...the seat is getting warm and my "drop button" is getting bigger. I have to cut one before the season starts and i'm torn between hunt and Spiller. Spiller doesn't look like he is doing anything but he's also a young guy behind an older back so there is potential. Hunt...i just don't know

And I needed more coffee. I completely forgot about Isaiah... I was thinking of the old fella, now retired, C.J. (oooof!)We all see things thru different lenses. This is dynasty however and spiller plays behind an old rb and a rb that is always hurt...he's got a lot of future opportunity. Hunt is done whatever happens this year it will be the end of it

Won't he just have a 4 week leash in Indy? Or is JT going to hold out all year?Watching his situation closely, my RB depth is very thin, could walk into a very good situation in Indianapolis.
Wouldn’t Miami be the best fit fantasy-wise? Hunt could be the lead back on a very good high scoring offense .Watching his situation closely, my RB depth is very thin, could walk into a very good situation in Indianapolis.
CJ Spiller is also employed by the same number of teams as Kareem Hunt. He’s been retired since 2017 and is currently 36 years old.And I needed more coffee. I completely forgot about Isaiah... A couple weeks ago no way but now with Wilson on IR and the rookie banged up I would say Miami could give make him very valuable first half of season.Wouldn’t Miami be the best fit fantasy-wise? Hunt could be the lead back on a very good high scoring offense .Watching his situation closely, my RB depth is very thin, could walk into a very good situation in Indianapolis.
I think Hunt would be in a 3-way RBBC in Miami. Mostert is a better runner, and Achane is a bigger big play threat. Maybe Hunt would be the GL RB, and maybe his blocking would give him 3rd downs, but I don't think Hunt has it in him to be a lead RB anywhere anymore.Wouldn’t Miami be the best fit fantasy-wise? Not sure Chris Brooks isn’t a better big back at this point in MIA (over Hunt)I think Hunt would be in a 3-way RBBC in Miami. Mostert is a better runner, and Achane is a bigger big play threat. I would rather have Spears. I traded Hunt and Taysom Hill for Warren last week.So dump him? A dude just dropped Spears!
I'd hold as I'll think he'll sign soon.Sitting the end of my bench in redraft and I think it’s time to drop him for some other RB handcuff. Though there’s not a ton of talent available.
Wish there was just a tickle of rumor of a situation where he might slot into.
I really thought he still may end up in Indy… but with Taylor having a little bit of good news that seems less likely.
That is what I'm thinking/hoping for.Baltimore?
