Took a look at all the first round WRs from 93-07. Just wanted to see outcomes, as we've now had enough time to judge all these players. I'll admit to being very subjective in my judgements (and could be swayed to move a few players), but most were not close calls. I also thought of it from a...
The Patriots were winning last night 27-3 with 6:32 to play. The game was essentially over, as Palko and KC had proven over and over, they just weren't going to score even one TD in this game. The Patriots opted to bring out their first string offense and run plays from the spread. Nothing...
Just how good is the pass defense for Pittsburgh? They are currently ranked #1 giving up 158 yards/game. That's 20 yards per game better than anybody else. I have seen them play early this year, but not recently.
Take a look at who they've played so far though.
Week 1 vs Balt. The Ravens...

Cam Newton has five rushing touchdowns this year. DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart have one combined.Panthers offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski has unapologetically...

I don't think the Kenny Britt era is going to last too long. This won't get him kicked out of the league, but it won't be long before something else does.

A Jersey City felon, out of jail on bail guaranteed, in part, by childhood...
The dynasty value of Hakeem Nicks seems to be going through the roof. He's #2 on the J-Dawg thread and #3 in Go Deep's rankings. To be honest, I just don't think its justified.
First lets talk about his skill set. He's got good, not great speed. (4.51). He's got good, not great hands...
Alex Smith was so unbelievable wretched tonight I can't even believe he was once the #1 overall pick in the draft. He has zero pocket presence, and that may be overstating it. He had decent protection tonight but ran into sacks and pressure. On top of that he had receivers running open, but...
Kyle Orton is having a very good season. He's currently 3rd among QB scoring in my league. However, the Broncos invested a 1st round pick in Tim Tebow and are currently 2-5. A couple more losses could eliminate them from the playoffs. I was thinking about trading for Orton, but this has me...
The 49ers now must know Alex Smith isn't their QB of the future. He just can't seem to run a traditional offense successfully. However, he still does seem to be able to run the spread effectively. Sunday night they ran it quite a bit late in the game, and suddenly they started scoring TDs...
Here are the last 5 games for Gaffney:
7/69/2
14/213/0
3/34/1
2/15/0
12/140/0
That totals 38/471/3. Projected over a full slate of 16?
121/1507/10
Obviously Gaffney won't be posting those numbers this year, and I am not recommending trading Randy Moss for him. However, I am starting...
Apologize for starting a new Mike Wallace thread. The other one is heavily dynasty related, and kind of a mess to be honest.
This week both Bloom and Dodds have him rated somewhere in the 60s. That's kind of amazing to me. I'll be the first to admit the targets are a bit low. It is a bit of...
Debating about starting Crabtree this week, and I stumbled across the #1 rated pass defense of the Colts. The give up on avg 179 yards and have surrendered only 2 passing TDs. Pretty impressive. Until you look at the games they have played.
Week 1: Jax. Garrard (14/28 122) has a bad day...
Grabbed this guy on my dynasty roster as a stash. Didn't expect much this year, but rumors were swirling regarding a two TE set in Dallas.
It looked like Bennett got plenty of playing time last night. It also looked like he struggled catching the ball.
Is this guy a tease, or as the beat...
They changed their schedule to put on my breakout game tonight. Packers vs. Bengals 1992. As a side note, its Brett Favres' first real meaningful PT as well.
Just curious as to why Bloom would have 52 spots between Brandon Marshall and Eddie Royal this weekend. Great matchup for Marshall, but not Royal?
I don't usually worry about staff projections too much, as I feel I know my team very well. This one just jumped off the page though. Dodds has it...
Local beat writer for the Milwaukee Journal just posted that the details are yet to be confirmed but:
"the Vikings' exit will be the subject of some talk tomorrow. And it wasn't the players. Let's also say that there is A LOT of bad blood between the Vikings and Packers. A lot."
UPDATE...
Just checked out Dodds/Blooms projections for this weekend. Without giving too much content away, MJD is ranked 19/33 for Dodds/Bloom respectively. Taylor is at 35/38.
I know Tennesee brings a tough run defense to the table. Expectations for the Jags running game shouldn't be huge. However...
Those of us picking in the middle of RD 1 in redrafts have some dilemmas.
LT and AP will be long gone. Westbrook most likely too.
That leaves the RB position with plenty of talent, but with shaky situations.
SJax should probably be next, but his oline was a disaster last year, and Orlando...
