This will mark the 8th AFC Championship Game appearance for the Patriots and the 3rd for the Ravens. These two teams have never previously squared off to Hoist The Hunt.

The greatest coach of all time has this defense healthy and rolling. Brady will be his usual self and pats dominate 38-13

The Ravens must be able to generate pressure on Brady. It will help to get a few sacks, but getting and keeping up the pressure so he has to keep moving will be the first key. Flacco successfully moving the chains and sustaining drives is the second.

If the Ravens can do both, they can win.

Ravens 31 Patriots 27

BB has a pretty good track record of taking out a team's most important offensive player so I think the Pats shut Rice down. That puts the game on Flacco's arm and I don't think he is up to the task.

On the other aide of the ball, look for the Pats to play very uptempo, using a lot of no huddle with Brady out of the shotgun with either Woodhead or Hernandez in the backfield.

41-10 Pats

Pats usually score 24-28 against the Ravens. Ravens usually keep it pretty close and get in the low 20s. Pats 27-21.

Patriots 34-16 Ravens

Now that it's healthy and not playing around with guys like Sergio Brown or Matt Slater, I think the Patriots defense might surprise some people, and the Ravens won't be able to catch up after falling behind early.

Ravens can and will get to Brady in this game. They can and will control the time of possession on offense and help minimize their defenses exposure to the Pats offense. The Ravens can and will create big plays in the passing game today vs. a weak Pats secondary and those 3 things will be the difference in a tight game.

Ravens 27 - Pats 24

Really? You do realize that in the Patriots 2nd most recent game, they gave up 21 points in one quarter to the Buffalo Bills, right? That is rolling?

Everyone has been talking about the Ravens being the one to get to the QB and force turnovers.Last 4 games:Ravens 3 sacks, 7 turnovers, 0 TDPatriots 16 sacks, 10 turnovers, 1 TD

Then dropped what 49 unanswered?
Yep, but the Patriots defense has the tendency to get gashed badly in spurts; it happens to them almost every week (last week being an exception). You can get away with that in the regular season against teams like Buffalo and Washington, but it is a little harder to overcome deep in the playoffs against a team like the Ravens.

If you could tell me which Ravens team shows up I could tell you a prediction. I guess the so-so performance against the Texans may give the Ravens the "us against the world edge" that makes them pretty much unbeatable, but it might also get them so pumped up the get in their own way. And it might be easy to just make a guess if these were the only two split personalities that the Ravens had, but they have many more. Unlike the Patriots who are pretty much always the Patriots.

They didn't get their defense back to full strength until last week. Flacco is in for a big surprise.

Doesn't this pic of the Ravens uniform look like it was taken in 1975?http://jaysjerseyblog.files.wordpress.com/2011/06/testaverde-ravens.jpg
Will you just go ahead and get all your posts calling the Ravens' uniforms "leotards" over with now so they don't clog up the thread once the game actually starts?

The leotards are awful, you have to admit. For the record, the Patriots' uniforms are awful too. Red, white, blue, and grey are are the colors of the Confederacy. I keep expecting to hear them play Dixie when they step onto the field. Patriots desperately need to ditch the grey and go back to the minuteman uniforms.

Announcers about Flacco 'That was wide of the mark.' If that was Brady it would be 'Boldin has to catch that and help out his QB. Brady led him open and put it in the only place to make the completion.'

Patriots playing their game, pinning the opponent deep in their own territory, and forcing them to execute a long drive to get a TD.

Yep. Boldin has to make that tough catch in a game like this.

If these first 2 drives mean anything they are really trying to prove people that Flacco doesn't suck. Hell they have used Rice more as a receiver than a RB

That was pathetic by Flacco. Everyone was open and there was no rush. Somehow he didn't see Vince Wilfork slowly lumbering towards him from right in front of him at .00001 mph with a blocker in between.
