I do like Rogan's podcast when he has a guest I want to hear and he is going to go down as a legend in that area but does he really keep up with these guests If they are talking about ayahuasca or working out maybe. He is a good interviewer in that he knows his lane - get super high and let them talk and says "whoa, whoa, whoa slow down and explain that" and "Jaime pull that up".I dunno Rogan is a pretty smart guy to even keep up with some of the guests he has. Stern is sharp too of course.
He didn't endorse Trump (or Bernie for that matter) he just said he would rather vote for Trump... I don't think he's thrilled with either guy.
If Ventura enters the race id imagine that's where he goes

National, Fordham University Poll: Biden 56% Trump 42%
5:45 PM · Apr 27, 2020
Biden’s advantage is mainly due to a 12-point lead among women. He is also the favorite among Hispanics (+18 points) and independents (+11). Biden is over-performing Hillary Clinton’s 2016 support among women and independents, and underperforming among Hispanics. Clinton won women by 4 points and Hispanics by 27 points, but lost independents by 4 points.
- Apparently Biden is doing very well with older voters also.In addition, 65 percent overall, and 49 percent of Republicans, think it is better to wait to reopen the economy, even if it prolongs the economic crisis.
You left out stop taping women. This thing is 100% Biden’s to lose. Do not #### this up old man.

Things are going greatPresumptive Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden held a public online discussion with 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton yesterday, where she officially endorsed him for president. The 55-minute long event was branded a “women’s town hall,” as the two veteran Washington insiders discussed how the COVID-19 pandemic has hit women in particular.
“I want to add my voice to the many who have endorsed you to be our president,” Clinton announced from her home. “Just think what a difference it would make right now if we had a president who not only listened to the science — put facts over fiction — but brought us together, showed the kind of compassion and caring that we need from our president and which Joe Biden has been exemplifying throughout his entire career.”
Throughout the conversation, where Biden positioned himself as a champion of women and an ally to the #MeToo movement, neither Clinton or Biden addressed the multiple women who have accused the former vice-president of inappropriate touching, nor the newest allegations by his former staffer, Tara Reade, who claims he sexually assaulted her in the Capitol Building in 1993.
Biden has been adamant that he will select a woman as his running mate and that he will choose someone from the right of the party (even floating the idea of choosing a Republican VP). Yesterday’s event fueled speculation that Clinton is in the running to return to the White House. The former senator from New York famously blew an enormous lead over Donald Trump – enjoying a 15-point advantage over the businessman and TV show host as late as the last week of campaigning. In October, a Morning Consult poll found that continued apathy and ill will towards her meant that a Clinton endorsement would be a net negative for any of the candidates in the running. Thus, some described the latest announcement as a “kiss of death” for the Biden campaign.
Biden doing a virtual townhall with Hillary Clinton concerning the impact of covid19 on women just a day after new corroboration of the Reade allegations is the most darkly portentous omen of the race so far

The women’s town hall did not go particularly smoothly, with the participants not realizing they were live for almost 25 seconds. Biden also appeared to momentarily fall asleep as Clinton was talking. The former Delaware senator stormed into the lead on Super Tuesday, winning the majority of the states on offer, but has still found it difficult to engage and extend his message online. His YouTube channel that broadcast the event has only 47,000 subscribers (in comparison, Donald Trump has 381,000 and Bernie Sanders has nearly 400,000). As of Wednesday, the town hall has 60,000 views and more than double the dislikes as likes.
I’m not so sure that’s good for Biden. Went through that with Johnson. Amash is miles better than Johnson but defectors are gonna defect regardless, better for Biden if it’s between him and a no name.Good news for Biden if Amash does really follow through with running as a Libertarian. It will be nice to have a legitimate 3rd party candidate siphoning off GOP votes for a change.
Ive heard some frustration about Jesse from Green groups but theres no way Howie gets to the 5% funding threshold... Ventura would probably smash thatI’m not so sure that’s good for Biden. Went through that with Johnson. Amash is miles better than Johnson but defectors are gonna defect regardless, better for Biden if it’s between him and a no name.
I’m not really sure Amash just automatically wins the nomination anyway. Same goes for Ventura and the Greens. At some point parties get sick of interlopers just waltzing in and expecting the nom on name recognition when real committed party members just spent months of effort.
2020 voting intention:
Trump: 46% Biden: 47% (!)
Who did you vote for in 2016: Trump: 51% Clinton: 42% (Nearly dead-on accurate sample; in 2016, Trump won TX 52%-43%, also a 9-point difference)
Interesting that you should post this question (that may be thread worthy in itself - and could be a pole) in the official Joe Biden campaign threadThis is intended to be a hypothetical post as an interesting thought exercise. To be clear, I don't expect any of this to happen. I do want to set a few ground rules for the hypothetical discussion...
* For sake of hypothetical argument, let's assume Joe Biden steps down in the near future (i.e. well before the convention). Let's not argue "that will never happen!" or "he shouldn't step down!" or "but Trump!"
* Let's assume it's way too late (and dangerous due to COVID-19) to hold primary elections again in all the states that already did, even assuming it were legal to do so
* For sake of argument, I'd like to approach this from the point of view of a Democrat that views the overarching goal as "ensure that the D nominee wins the general election". That is, arguments like "Bernie's approach is socialism" aren't really relevant. Arguments like "Democrats suck, Trump is much better" aren't relevant, since they aren't from the D point of view. Arguments like "Bernie can't win the general election because he's too far to the left" would be valid, although it would be nice to see some links or facts to back up something like that.
* Let's approach it from the angle of "using the above assumptions, what can/should the DNC do", both legally and strategically?
I suspect the approach would not be to simply award the nomination to Sanders because he has the second-most delegates to date.
I also suspect that awarding the nomination to anyone other than Sanders would cause many of his supporters to have a conniption due to perceived (and possibly very real) DNC bias against Sanders. Would that cause many of those supporters who might have reluctantly showed up and voted Biden to instead stay home? Would awarding the nomination to Warren (as opposed to, say, Klobuchar or Buttigieg) mitigate that possibility?
So, if you had final say, and the sole goal is "winning the Nov general", who would you nominate? Sanders? Warren? Klobuchar? Buttigieg? Other?

Mr. Sanders’s 2016 campaign manager and another architect of the 2016 bid are joining together in an effort to rally progressive support for the former vice president ahead of the November election.
Former top advisers to Senator Bernie Sanders are teaming up on a surprising new venture to try to rally progressive support for former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s 2020 campaign: a super PAC.
Jeff Weaver, who served as Mr. Sanders’s campaign manager in 2016 and as a top adviser in 2020, is leading the effort, which will focus on mobilizing the base of Sanders supporters — young people, liberals Latinos and “blue-collar progressives” — for Mr. Biden.
Other top Sanders officials from the 2020 race who will be involved include Chuck Rocha, a senior adviser who focused on Latino outreach, Tim Tagaris, who oversaw digital strategy and fund-raising, and Shelli Jackson, a California strategist for the campaign. Mark Longabaugh, who worked for Mr. Sanders in 2016 but left the 2020 campaign early on, is also part of the new group.
...Mr. Weaver said that, given the short time frame until the general election, this was the most efficient way for the Sanders movement to “lock in some of the gains progressives have made” by electing Mr. Biden and ousting President Trump.
...The new group, whose paperwork was filed with the Federal Election Commission last week, will be called Future To Believe In PAC, a play on Mr. Sanders’s 2016 slogan.
...
The new effort will not have access to Mr. Sanders’s vaunted email list, Mr. Weaver said.
Mr. Longabaugh was a top architect of the 2016 Sanders campaign but parted ways one week into the 2020 effort, issuing a public statement with two fellow consultants, Tad Devine and Julian Mulvey ,that they were leaving “because we believe that Senator Sanders deserves to have media consultants who share his creative vision for the campaign.” The media firm eventually worked for Andrew Yang’s campaign.
...The new effort is actually the second super PAC formed by a former top adviser to the Sanders campaign. Mr. Rocha recently also created Nuestro PAC, a super PAC dedicated to turning out Latino voters in the fall, using the same model and methods that the Sanders campaign used to win over such voters in the primaries.
What struck me most was the 1980's liberal media dismissing Joe as a viable candidate primarily for plagiarism. Fast forward to today and it's like pulling teeth to get the liberal media to address his history of sexual harassment and possible assault. And the 2020 liberal media doesn't even consider his proven history of lying and plagiarism worthy of discussion.Getzlaf15 said:

Many on the far right are running with painting Biden as someone who's lost his mental abilities and probably needs help putting on his pants in the morning. The thing is, once he and Trump are on the stage together debating, all the people who have been sold this bill of goods will be stunned when Biden handily wins the debates. If Biden is supposed to be a drooling idiot, then how bad does that make Trump look??@zakcheneyrice must have missed that last debate with Bernie.
Yeah, I am reminded of the false talking point during the 2012 election that most everyone on the right believed - that Obama never said the Benghazi attack was an act of terror. It was started on Breibart, Daily Caller or some other far right site, was picked up by Fox and then repeated as gospel for months. Mitt Romney believed it too and when he parroted the line in the debate and it came back to bite him ("Please proceed, Governor").Many on the far right are running with painting Biden as someone who's lost his mental abilities and probably needs help putting on his pants in the morning. The thing is, once he and Trump are on the stage together debating, all the people who have been sold this bill of goods will be stunned when Biden handily wins the debates. I can't blame them for trying, but it will definitely backfire.

They could lock Joe in a lightless, windowless dungeon, behind six feet of lead walls, take his phone and laptop, prevent all visitation and keep him there until November and I think he'd have a pretty good shot of taking this home.
Hell, it might even help as long as they brought him out into the public every few weeks Kim Jong Il style.

Huh, it seems this feeble old man said that the President should put in place things that there have been shortages of in the coronavirus crisis. Boy that is some sloppy phrasing and a really poorly placed participle.
I'm glad us independents see it as Joe painting this picture all by himself. I hope if he does debate, he does not have any bad moments. With all the moments he keeps on having, it's going to look very bad on all of us if he has any bad moments of the debate stage. And of course, Trump will do everything to set him off and get him started. Many on the far right are running with painting Biden as someone who's lost his mental abilities and probably needs help putting on his pants in the morning. Ren you need to accept that he’s going to be your next President. You can complain about it after the election.
