That didnt seem to happen.
Actually, it Did happen.

easy on the Kizer is starter talk..dude looks like a work in progress, at best..
A work in progress, yes.

.  Kizer is also the best QB on that roster and will be named the week 1 starter. He had a very good game vs the Bucs 1's. The stat line does not show how good he played. I was at the game, he threw 3 bad passes and one perfect back shoulder throw to Coleman on a long 3rd down was called back on a completely bogus OPI.

With better receiver play he would have been 16-19 for 200+

ESPN Steelers reporter Jeremy Fowler said Terrell Watson is "becoming a difficult cut."

While Knile Davis, Fitzgerald Toussaint and James Conner have spent the summer vying for backup work behind bell cow Le'Veon Bell, Watson has quietly tacked on 84 yards and a touchdown across three preseason appearances. Coach Mike Tomlin has been impressed with Watson's downhill style and could be warming up to the idea of keeping him. How he performs in Thursday's finale may determine whether he makes the 53-man roster.

Buccaneers fifth-round RB Jeremy McNichols played just two snaps in Saturday's third preseason game.

He was fifth on the team's running back pecking order behind Doug Martin, Jacquizz Rodgers, Peyton Barber and Russell Hansbrough, and that was with Charles Sims getting the night off. McNichols lost a yard on his lone carry and wasn't targeted in the passing game. In the span of a few weeks, McNichols has gone from seeing first-team reps at practice to basically being phased out altogether. He may need a big showing in Thursday's preseason finale to keep his roster spot.

Jaguars fourth-round WR Dede Westbrook was visiting Dr. William Meyers regarding a core muscle injury on Monday.

The issue hadn't been known to this point, but Westbrook apparently received good news, as NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Westbrook could return to practice as soon as Tuesday. Meyers does almost all of the sports-hernia surgeries in the NFL. Westbrook has escaped with a tweak.

Jets coach Todd Bowles believes Bryce Petty has made "legit improvement" this summer.

The Jets are laying the groundwork to name Petty their No. 2 quarterback following Christian Hackenberg's calamitous summer campaign. The only thing standing between Petty and backing up fragile starter Josh McCown in Week 1 is Petty's minor knee injury. It's possible Petty ends up leading the Jets in 2017 starts. Hack can't play and McCown can't stay healthy.
