Dynasty and Redraft: David Johnson Saints (3 Viewers)

I might have to start DJ this week with Rhamondre on a bye, and Swift, Mitchell, and Henderson all iffy (and Henderson does not play until Monday).

Texans placed RB David Johnson on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

It is Johnson's second stint on the COVID-19 list in the past three weeks. The Houston Chronicle reports Johnson's Week 14 absence was related to a false positive. Now he's positive again, presumably for real this time. If Johnson is vaccinated, he will still have time to get cleared in time for Sunday's game against the 49ers, though he was already sidelined with a quad issue. With Rex Burkhead clearly operating as the Texans' best back right now, Johnson can safely be dropped in all 12-team leagues regardless of his Week 17 status.

Saints signed David Johnson to the active roster.

Johnson signed to the Saints' practice squad on November 16th and suited up for the team's Week 11 matchup against the Rams. He's rushed once for negative four yards and added another reception for 11 yards, but could be in for an expanded role with Mark Ingram (MCL) expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the season. A myriad of injuries and Father Time have slowed Johnson in recent years, as he's totaled just 915 rushing yards and six touchdowns on 215 carries dating back to 2020. He has little to no fantasy upside at this point in his career.
