Really good article on the rookie QBs.Faust said:NFL rookie QB progress reports: What 2018 picks have shown so far
Mayfield has very limited NFL future. Day 3 NFL pick at best.
I would still take him over Darnold.

OopsWell then you'd be making a horrible mistake that would set your team back years, but that is your prerogative. Mayfield is not an never will be an NFL caliber starting QB.
Lol, yeah that’s pretty bad. Seems like every year there’s a few players that I strongly disagree with someone with and that other poster performs a Houdini trick.Dez said:Oops

I'm sure Mayfield will win, but it's a bit of crap with these awards. No one disputes that the QB position is the most important in football by quite a bit. But if you're just going to give awards like Rookie of the Year, MVP, Heisman Trophy, etc to QBs by default, then just call them QB only awards. Mayfield had the 17th most passing yards, 11th most TDs and 5th most interceptions this year. He helped a pretty poor franchise win some more games. He had a pretty good year for a rookie QB and an average year for an experienced QB. Barkley had an incredible season, posting some historical statistics. Likely one of the best rookie seasons ever for a RB and a fantastic season for a RB of any experience level. Common sense would tell you he deserves the Rookie of the Year. But if you're just going to default the award to a QB that had a pretty good year, just call it the QB Rookie of the Year.
