Has anyone here heard of the North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM)? They a certification you can get called the Certified Foodservice Professional (CFSP), which sounds like it would be a better idea for me than going to culinary school. It far less expensive than culinary school, but would it help open doors for me in the foodservice industry? Ultimately that's really what matters - finding a job. If so, it sounds like it could be a good combination of added education, getting a useful certification, and allowing me to also leverage my business background in finding a long term career in a food industry company. I would love to hear about anyone's experience and/or knowledge of this organization and this certification.
