Adam Shaheen, TE (MIA) (2 Viewers)

^^ This post is odd to me. Coming out the biggest knock on him was his blocking, but his catching was good and he had potential due to his athelticism.

Weird. A decent buy after Burton pulling in an uninspiring year, at least until seeing what Chicago does in the draft (without a 1st or 2nd rounder I doubt they get anyone who will come in and start day 1)

Shaheen improving as a blocker is a good sign for more potential playing time.

Dolphins acquired TE Adam Shaheen from the Bears in exchange for a conditional 2021 sixth-round pick.

Because they are giving up next to nothing, it's a worthwhile trade for Miami to see if they can unlock Shaheen, who has been crushed by injuries thus far. Shaheen, a 2017 second-round pick, only caught 26 passes in three seasons with Chicago, but at least stands at 6-foot-6, 278 pounds with some movement skills. This acquisition does nothing to change Mike Gesicki's 2020 outlook.

Dolphins signed TE Adam Shaheen to a two-year, $7.65 million contract.

The deal contains $3.2 million fully guaranteed. Miami traded a conditional seventh-round pick for Shaheen back in July. He's played 32% of snaps as the No. 2 tight end behind Mike Gesicki and is coming off a 3/51/1 line in Week 7. Shaheen's extension keeps him in Miami through 2022.

Dolphins TE Adam Shaheen (COVID-19) will practice Wednesday.

The Dolphins opened Week 1 in a 2TE set, but that did not include Mike Gesicki. Instead Durham Smythe (38 snaps) and Hunter Long (18 snaps) started the game. Gesicki managed just 21 snaps, one less than Albert Wilson. Shaheen will likely rotate in with Hunter Long as a secondary blocking tight end, but his presence is not good new for Gesicki, whose fantasy value already looked suspect.

Texans acquired TE Adam Shaheen and a 2023 seventh-round pick in exchange for a 2023 sixth-round pick.

With no clear-cut star at the position, the Texans bolster their tight end room with Shaheen. He will look to come in and get playing time behind Brevin Jordan and Pharoah Brown. The Dolphins, on the other hand, cut loose some dead weight as they already have Mike Gesicki with Durham Smythe to back him up. After combining for 24 catches, 260 yards and three touchdowns the past two seasons with the Dolphins, Shaheen will look to make the team's roster to provide help in the run-blocking game.
