You just throwing poop at the wall and hoping it sticks or did you look up the contract?I think his dynasty prospects remain very high. Woods likely will be cut, Beckham won’t be resigned so Van has clear path to targets next season.
Dynasty or redraft?Well, I'm officially off the Toney truck and hopping into the Van...uh...van.
Van Jefferson caught 3-of-7 targets for 54 yards in the Rams' Week 10 loss to the 49ers.
In the Rams' first game without Robert Woods (knee), Jefferson's seven targets were second on the team to Cooper Kupp's 13 and good enough for a 17% share. Jefferson dropped an easy touchdown in the fourth quarter, one of several drops amongst Rams pass-catchers in this one. With Odell Beckham looking at an expanded role after the bye, Jefferson should be viewed as a WR3 for Week 12 against the Packers.

I watched the game from the 3rd qtr on and it appeared to me most of the passes to Jefferson were uncatchable.Started him over Renfrow this week. And lost. idiot. Would have won if he didn't have butter fingers.
dropped an easy touchdown.I watched the game from the 3rd qtr on and it appeared to me most of the passes to Jefferson were uncatchable.
I must have missed it, because the one I saw in the end zone he easy TD drop in the end zone you could provide?dropped an easy touchdown.
The inefficiencies make him not worth owning. Was mad at myself for dropping after the 75 Td but then we went like 1 catch on 6 targets after itIs it just me or does he somehow make every routine catch look difficult?
On a day when he had, what, 3 for 90 with a TD or something, he left so much more on the table. Should have positioned his feet on that TD catch from Kupp. Should have had several other 20-yard+ catches, but he just doesn't separate from the defensive backs.
He had a lot of dropped passes and missed opportunities today. Is it just me or does he somehow make every routine catch look difficult?

Fortunately, OBJ was equally inefficient so the volume should continue. This is a receiver who has averaged nearly 7 targets the past 5 to 6 weeks in a pass happy offense. The defense is bleeding points and OBJ will never be fully healthy this season or learn the entire playbook before the end of the season. For this year at least, he could be sneaky value. He had a lot of dropped passes and missed opportunities today.
Van Jefferson caught 6-of-8 targets for 41 yards and one score in Los Angeles' Week 13 win over the Jaguars.
Jefferson was on the receiving end of one of Matthew Stafford's three passing touchdowns on the afternoon, the former recording a two-yard toe-tap in the end zone for his fifth touchdown of the year. Jefferson has also seen 17 targets in Los Angeles' last two games with Odell Beckham as a full-time player, accruing the second-highest target share (22.4%) on the team behind Cooper Kupp (26.3%) in that span. Jefferson will continue to rank neck and neck with Beckham as high-floor WR2/3s in every game moving forward.

Van Jefferson caught 2-of-3 targets for 58 yards and one touchdown in the Rams' Week 14 win over the Cardinals.
Jefferson's big play was a deep-shot 52-yard touchdown over the top of the Arizona defense on the Rams' first drive of the second half, breaking a 13-13 tie. His three targets tied fill-in TE Kendall Blanton for third on the team behind Cooper Kupp's 15 and Odell Beckham's seven. Jefferson remains a staple in three-wide sets, but he's still the third option in the passing game. Consider Jefferson an upside WR3/4 for next week's divisional date with the Seahawks' poor pass defense.

Stupid
Van Jefferson
beat me last night by less than a pt , knocked me out of last playoff spot
YeahMy heartfelt sympathies. But he's been good for at least one long bomb a game for weeks now.
That's the #### you'll remember forever.Yeah
I would’ve survived if it wasn’t for the rushing attempt for 10 yards. His only rush of the year wtf
YuckThat's the #### you'll remember forever.
I still remember a playoff game losing by 1 point. It was made worse because I was watching Cincinnati play and had Rudi Johnson and Chad Johnson. Rudi had 81 yards and that was the point I needed with 7 mins left to play. Then he lost 2 yards to 79. I was down a point. No big deal except Rudi didn't have a rush the rest of the game. Ok no big deal just need Ocho to get one more catch. Didn't get a target the rest of the game. The most excruciating 7 minutes of game time ever. Had I just saw the box score it would have been bad enough but tuning in and watching your loss live is like watching a car crash in slow motion while you're in it.
Probably a play initially designed for Robert Woods, it's all his fault lol.Yeah

Good callProbably a play initially designed for Robert Woods, it's all his fault lol.
Van Jefferson (shoulder) remained "limited" for Saturday's practice and is questionable for Monday's Wild Card game against the Cardinals.
It's concerning that Jefferson never got back to "full" after being so on Thursday, but the fact he was never downgraded to "DNP" bodes well for his Monday odds of suiting up. Likely to receive a pain-killing injection, it is ultimately difficult to envision Jefferson sitting. Daily fantasy players can feel confident plugging Jefferson into lineups.

The Athletic's Jourdan Rodrigue reports "it’s currently sounding like" Van Jefferson (knee) will play in the NFC Championship against the 49ers.
Rodrigue added that Jefferson is expected to play his normal role. That role has been shrinking in recent weeks with Odell Beckham clearly separating as the team's No. 2 receiver. Jefferson has seven targets over his previous three games. Assuming Jefferson doesn't suffer any pre-game setbacks, he will be a boom/bust dart throw for DFS players.

Van Jefferson caught 2-of-5 targets for nine yards in the Rams' NFC Championship win over the 49ers.
Jefferson's five targets tied Kendall Blanton for a distant third on the team behind Cooper Kupp's 14 and Odell Beckham's 11 as the Rams' third option in the pass game. Jefferson briefly left with an aggravation of his knee issue. He's settled in as the Rams' third wideout this postseason, totaling nine targets in three games. He'll be a boom-bust Super Bowl proposition against the Bengals.

Van Jefferson caught 4-of-8 targets for 23 yards in the Rams' Super Bowl LVI win over the Bengals.
Although Jefferson seemed miscast as Los Angeles’ No. 2 wideout between Robert Woods’ injury and Odell Beckham’s Rams ramp up, the sophomore nevertheless took a major step forward on his rookie campaign, improving from 19/220/1 to 50/802/6. Jefferson was a play-maker on the perimeter, helping to clear space for Cooper Kupp and taking advantage of the advantageous coverages defenses rolled his way because of their fear of Kupp. Heading into his age-26 campaign, Jefferson will be old for a third-year pro. It is possible he has already reached his NFL ceiling. He still profiles as a useful No. 3 wideout who can serve as a No. 2 in a pinch. He is best treated as a WR4 in offseason best ball drafts.

I think that’s the issue - he didn’t step up with OBJ out and largely disappeared when OBJ arrived. Woods will be back and OBJ may as well, leaving Jefferson probably as the #3 there at best. With OBJ going down, he’s certainly an intriguing buy. Woulda been nice to see him do more on 8 targets.
He could develop - he’s still young.I think that’s the issue - he didn’t step up with OBJ out and largely disappeared when OBJ arrived. Woods will be back and OBJ may as well, leaving Jefferson probably as the #3 there at best.
He's not bad, but not great. A really good pure deep threat, but not as much otherwise. The hands and the route precision need a lot of work IMO. FF value when attached to a wagon though. He could develop - he’s still young.I think that’s the issue - he didn’t step up with OBJ out and largely disappeared when OBJ arrived. but he hasn’t shown much to date. And McVay stopped using him deep after a couple Of games.
He's not a strong WR. He doesn't fight for the ball and his positioning isn't great, nor his hands. With OBJ going down, he’s certainly an intriguing buy. Woulda been nice to see him do more on 8 targets.
He did go 50/800+/6 in his first year of getting any usage. He could get better. I’m just sayin, it’s a possibility. He's not a strong WR. He doesn't fight for the ball and his positioning isn't great, nor his hands.
Pass.
Not as young as you think. Turns 26 in July.He could develop - he’s still young.
but he hasn’t shown much to date. And McVay stopped using him deep after a couple Of games.
maybe he was distracted and distraught during the game
I kinda doubt LAR keeps OBJ - maybe before he blew out his knee, but they’re without picks until the 5th round this year, they may lose their best defensive player if Donald retires, and Woods is coming back from an injury as well. If they pay a WR, they need them to play immediately.Definitely an underwhelming year - especially down the stretch - however he's on a great offense with 2 WRs ahead of him recovering from serious injuries. He showed enough for me to buy low - I love that offense. Think he'll be very cheap.
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports that Rams WR Van Jefferson will see a specialist for knee issue.
Coming off of knee surgery, Jefferson is looking to make the jump as he enters his third season. Initially, coach Sean McVay didn't give a reason for Jefferson missing practice saying, "We're figuring that out right now, working through that." Now that it's known his knee is still bothering him, he could miss a few weeks. Jefferson and the team will have more infomation after his appointment with surgery as a possible option. After hauling in 50 receptions, 802 yards and six touchdowns in 2021, Jefferson sits behind Cooper Kupp and Allen Robinson on the depth chart. Tutu Atwell, Brandon Powell and Ben Skowronek will get more reps in Jefferson's absence. McVay has also said he is open to bringing back Odell Beckham. Finishing as WR36 last season, that figures to be Jefferson's ceiling entering 2022 unless injuries are a factor.

Rams WR Van Jefferson has begun training the rehab process a week after his knee surgery, a good sign as he tries to work his way back for the start of the season, per source. His timetable for return still not determined but he has a chance for Week 1.
