Lions released WR Quintez Cephus.
Cephus was one of four Lions suspended for violating the NFL's gambling policy. Cephus was found to have been betting on NFL games last season and was slapped with an indefinite suspension that requires a minimum one-year ban. The Lions thought it best to part ways with Cephus, a former fifth-round draft pick soon after the news dropped. He appeared in four games last season due to a leg injury and has caught 37 passes for 568 yards, and four touchdowns in his career.
