Week 16 who should I start thread **OFFICIAL** (1 Viewer)

Without fully knowing Swift’s status for today, assuming he’s active, which of these two would you BENCH in PPR:

Justin Jackson, D’Andre Swift, Melvin Gordon, Hunter Renfrow, Devante Parker, Josh Palmer

Semi finals in a tight match. Like everyone else losing players right and left. SF ppr  6pt tds for all

QB  choose between JJohnson vs Cin   Newton/Darnold vs Bucs    Wilson vs Jaqs     Whoever starts for Det  vs  Atl

Flex  between    Swift vs Atl     Freeman vs Cin      Carter  vs  Jaqs    D Johnson vs NO

Ugly choices for playoffs, but any help is appreciated

Wilson Vs Jags (ugh)

Swift(if plays) vs atl

If Swift plays, the two I would bench are Palmer and Gordon.

Sometimes we can outthink ourselves, as I'm thinking of benching Barkley for Knox because of the target share he could get and Barkley's ankle and Booker.

Ugh on the QBs.  Probably Wilson vs Atl.

Swift if he plays.  If he doesn't, then Free3man , otherwise Carter.

with Lamar and Huntley both out need to choose between Lock vs LV or Johnson at Cincinnati. Nothing left to choose from. not good..

.5 ppr need 1 of these

Penny vs Chi

DJ Moore vs TB

Mooney at Sea
Moore is probably the right play even with the potential hammy issue.

If you don't want to risk DJ leaving early you need to somehow confirm wind on the field in Seattle. High wind start Penny, low wind start Mooney.

DJ>Mooney>Penny

Started out the week hot and am sitting solid headlining into today’s games, so need to avoid the floor game.  Have Ja’Maar Chase in most leagues this week, so debating the following in a ppr:

Chase at Cincy

Patterson vs Det

Bad wording.  Chase plays for Cincy.  If you meant Chase Claypool at KC, I would play Claypool over Patterson, even with the QB situation.

PPR flex I'm down to these two, need 1

Darrel Williams- Steelers are a run funnel, Kelce out opening up intermediate targets, D. Will is the receiving back and goal line back

Tyler Johnson- taking over the Godwin spot in the slot which has been the #1 option in an Arians offense. Johnson is known as a good blocker, Arians has been quoted that his best blocking WR's will be rewarded with targets

I like Tyler this week

Why?  Bad weather favors the WR because he knows where he is going and the DB has to react.  However it can be hard on the QBs.

Mainly because  of the wind.  Could be over thinking it.  Forgot to add I have Justin Jackson or Thielen I could add.

"Wind chill values between 14 and 20. North northwest wind 15 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph."

Am I crazy to be trusting Russell Gage?  Plucked him up off of the WW to keep an opponent from improving his WR a couple of weeks ago, but looking like I should be starting him.

Alternates: Jeudy, St Brown, Kirk (well, he already played, so...)

Hardly seems like wind chill to me, but I live in Minnesota.  Plus, 21 mph gusts isn't so bad either.  Yes, you are overthinking it.  I would never bench someone because of that anyway.  If it was a downpour so bad it affects the QBs, okay, but even then, a wet field favors the WRs over the DBs because they know their route and DBs have to react.

Schultz should see more play I think.   Cooper asked for more targets this week, most likely at Gallups expense
Cowboys fan and Schultz owner here. I’m sitting him today bc WFT gets safety Kam Curl back, who held him to 1 catch for 4 yds 2 weeks ago. He was inactive last week, which is why Dallas Goedert went off.

Great observation and it looks good on paper, but how many times has that blown up in our face?  He asked whether to play Schultz or Gallup and I still would play Schultz over Gallup even if Mel Blount was guarding him.

Yeah I botched that.  Zero chance I’d play Claypool over Patterson. Claypool has been playing like 30 snaps per week recently.

Debating Ja’Maar Chase vs Baltimore or Patterson vs Detroit. Thanks.

I have what I think is a tough one. 0.5pt ppr.   Need 2 out of the following—at least one rb.

J. Williams—might be a decent play with swift out

Darrell Henderson-don’t know what his role will be

Emmanuel sanders—Gabe Davis and i think Beasley out

I. McKenzie—same reasons as Emmanuel

My opponent is currently projected to win by 15 and he does have josh Allen as one of his two starting qbs (superflex league)

🤷‍♂️ In my standard league I would absolutely start Gallup over Schultz today.

Cooper whining about touches and with Cee Dee Lamb, no freaking way would I play Gallup over Schultz.  I don't have the target numbers in front of me, but my guess is that Schultz has out targeted Gallup by a wide margin.

Swift is ruled out—so you can bench him.  I would not bench renfrow just because he should be a target monster.   I feel like Justin Jackson could be in line for a big number of carries with ekeler out.  I think that would make me narrow it down to benching devante, palmer, or melvin.

No problem. I respect and value your opinion. I just disagree for this particular game.

PPR. Struggling between D Freeman and Theilen.

Worried Theilen will tweak his ankle or it wouldn’t even be a question…Leaning his way but with a 3rd string QB Freeman feels guaranteed to get touches although against a pretty good run D…he hasn’t been catching enough passes for me to feel comfortable that he’ll get a bunch of short receptions from a bad QB, so it’s possible he gets game scripted out

Connskins - I'm taking Devonta over better receivers than Thielen. Think he should be good for a fair bit of work given the QB issues and ought to be a flip to score

I currently am leaning J. Williams, and D. Henderson—but I seem to be waffling back and forth.

1 last ask

TE premium flex

D Knox at NE

D Harris vs Buf
I feel like either one should be a solid play.  Knox hypothetically should command more targets with Davis out and Harris should get more carries with Stevenson out.   I think i personally might lean Harris just because I think he’ll get more opportunities—but it’s not by much at all.  This literally might be almost a true coin flip type of situation.

I agree with this.  I love Knox today, but Harris is a good play.

@Chaka

Rank these RBs please in NON-PPR

Zeke Elliott

Miles Sanders

Justin Jackson

Alexander Mattison

Sony Michel

-Didn't play Wilson and filled one of my 3 spots with Aaron Jones yesterday, not completely empty but not a lot.

Just so you know I lean this way...1-Mattison, 2/3-Jackson-Sanders, 4-Zeke, 5-Sony...think even if they run him as lead back it might not be a terrific day today for him. Still think Staff and passing game will rule mostly there.

I think Freeman is guaranteed at least 15-18 touches, I just worry about the quality of those touches with Johnson at QB. Going 16/50 and 2/19 would be a bummer. I agree he feels like a coin flip for a TD but I remember Johnson leaned more run than pass from the pocket when he was in Washington, and there’s always the threat of L Murray GL TD vultures.

Just talking out the opposing viewpoint, I’m still not sure which way I’m going between him and Theilen.
