The more I hear this guy speak, the more I like him.  If you aren't familiar, here are some videos.  Forgive some of the titles; listen to what is said.

Didn't know much about him other than getting whupped by Hillary in the Benghazi stuff and his odd haircuts.

Reading his wiki page doesn't really have much that makes him stand out. Hasn't done much legislation that seems important.  Anti-women's choice, describes him self as "Pro-Life Plus", wants to limit EPA.

Hard for me to look past his part in Benghazi probe. That was his baby and to me it was primarily partisan BS that is one of the major things wrong in DC. 

Really thought that the couple of hours I watched of that was the best Hillary has looked. Can't remember the exact point but there was a time when he addressed her on some point he thought was going to be a big score and she just flipped it and made him look small. 

Besides that I don't know much about him. Looking through his wiki page I was pretty meh. He is way on the opposite side of my politics though so I'm not going to be a fan of his policy.

 
Hey look, a guy who hasn't completely embarrassed himself by saying something monumentally stupid yet...he's my guy.

 
I've waked and baked and been watching Trey Gowdy videos for the last hour. 

Damn, I'm even a bigger fan now.

I believe that he was appointed to chair of the committee, and I believe the committee was bi-partisan. 

The Benghazi probe was how we found out about the private server and the deleted emails.  I'd say that ended up being pretty significant.  

 
He did a great job with the Benghazi hearings.  There are some really great sound bites Hannity was playing throughout the election.  Despite, Hillary not having to pay for her crimes, the sound bites helped expose how corrupt the system was.

:lmao: that's her legacy right there.  That, and being the biggest loser political candidate in history.

Yeah that was not bi-partisan.

There were already 5 House committees investigating Benghazi. Boehner held out but finally decided to allow a vote on this special one after emails were made public. The House voted on it and something like 5 democrats voted for it while 220 republicans voted for it. Cruz tried to get the Senate in on their own so he could TV time too but the Senate was controlled by the Dems so he got shot down.

The committee was bi-partisan.  The vote to form the committee is a different story.

You mean he's against the killing of unborn children? Hardly seems like a reason to be upset with him.  ;)

 
Gowdy is like the Trent Richardson of politicians.  He might seem like a good one to certain people, and they'll defend him to death.  To normal humans we know he's garbage.

 
Good dude. Loves the law but hates politics. Don't think he will ever run for president.  I believe he doesn't take any donations for his campaign either.  Wins in landslides and doesn't spend much money to do it. 

 
The guy has a really odd face and even weirder hair. Just not a guy I can envision as your president.

He was the voice of the Patriots one year in the 80's if I remember right.  I thought he called Fisk's HR in 75, but now I think it was someone else.
