You sure all those guys had 1000 yard seasons in the NFL?

Then we have the other end of it,  those schools with just one NFL 1000 yard rusher.

Give me 10 schools that fits.

Example

J.D.Smith  NCA&T...a Niner who was a cornerback in school, first HBCU 1000 yard rusher.

Ah, no.  Was looking at college production.  Missed the NFL angle in my skimming.

Dorsett, Heyward, Martin, McCoy and Barlow did.  Conner just missed so far.  That may be it for NFL.

Heyward did have a 1000 season, I was thinking he hadn't.

That is it.

Can we amend the criteria to 950 yards instead of 1000?  Seems criminal to list Auburn RBs without Bo Jackson in there.  Crazy that he never hit 1000 yards too

There are four RB's in my opinion where stats just don't tell the story at all.

Willie Galimore Bears, this guy was amazing, BUT...the Bears had a stud FB named Rick Casares who shared carries so there go the gaudy stats....and...Galimore had a short career, died in a car wreck.

Mack "Truck" Lee Hill was a monster, the most physical RB ever, averaged 5 yards a carry banging lines.  A knee injury did him in, he dored on the operating table. Only two seasons.  In the Chiefs ring of honor, he was that aewsome.

Gale Sayers, does get his props, but would have done far more if not for injury.

Bo Jackson would be right there with Jim Brown, Sanders, Payton, Dickerson, Sayers if not for injury.

I totally agree, let's give Bo a 1000 yards, the hell with rules, ha~~~~
