Happy Halloween! (1 Viewer)

It would have been if I hadn't been told that my trick-or-treating costume was inappropriate.... :stirspot:
No, I don't think it would have been appropriate for a group of 8 and under kids to be escorted around the neighborhood by a Naughty Nurse.

Listen here at 4pm CST.

They do a Halloween show every year and this year it is at the house where an exorcism took place. The exorcism that the movie The Exorcist was based on.

I heard part of yet yesterday,(today is a reply), some creepy stuff.

It's funny that the house is located in a neighborhood that cops are always running speed traps.

Oh how I hate Bel Nor.

Happy Halloween. Do any of you dress up in a costume at work on Halloween?
I did last year, and I was going to this year, but the jumpsuit was too big.
Went on a diet after they let you out of the asylum did ya?
She laughed. I'm off the hook.
I took it as you joking... You were only joking, right?
Have you ever known me to be serious?

Will it be recorded somewhere so we can listen to it later?

I'm not sure. I know in the past they have sold CD's for charity. In the past they have been to this place in town called the Lemp Mansion. The Lemps were a wealthy family that made their fortune brewing beer. Well apparently thanks to imbreeding several went insane and murdered people there and a couple killed themselves. I saw some program where it was named one of the most haunted places in America. FWIW

Well, for a couple of years they would get a few listeners and spend the night in the Lemp Mansion.

They planned on doing something similar in the Exorcist house but everyone was so freaked out that they all left after 3 hours.

What freaked them out?
Get this. They had three contestants/listeners, 2 guys and a gal.The gal says she doesn't believe in ghosts or "any of that crap".They were all blind folded and had no idea where they were going. So they lead them up the stairs and into the house and as soon as the broad gets in, she starts going bat #### crazy. They taped the show two weeks ago and apparently this gal is still freaked out and hasn't been able to sleep. Same with the host of the show. :lmao:

Interesting! I wish I could listen to the show.

They are replaying it tonight at 9 CST.

Got a LOT more kids this year than last year. Weather is a lot nicer today. We usually have about 10 different kinds of candy in our basket. I love watching the kids picking out the candy. For some of them it's such a big decision...more pressure than they can handle. Bottle Caps? Snickers? Runts? M&Ms? Twix? Sweet Tarts? I DON'T KNOW!!!!!!

:hot: Good stuff. My mom and step-dad lower the candy down from a second story balcony, and when the kids realize what's goin down, they are just in total awe of the whole thing. :wolf:

The simplest things...what a time.

There isn't a better holiday.

 My 4.5 did that.

The 1.5? He always wanted the whole bowl. Threw a couple battles in there.

Ready for our usual 250+ kids. But I scaled back the candy purchase this year in case we don't meet that number being a Monday night.

Semi rant--I get that my 12-year-old is getting older  but she still enjoys Halloween trick or treating. For almost every one of her teachers to give homework tonight, is just asinine on their part. I made her do it before she could go out, but for those kids that are struggling with grades,  this is just simply setting them up to fail  and fall further behind.  Just an absolute lack of common sense on these teachers part.?

200 kids so far--so much fun....

It is nights like this that restore my faith in humanity, kids with please and thank yous.  Opened my door to find eight kids  laying on my front porch and then they all came alive as zombies.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles appears to be the theme of the season

2 kids did magic card tricks for extra candy.

We don't get trick-or-treaters in our complex.  But I did sell a leaf blower on Craigslist tonight.
