Flacco's greed cost the Raven's Boldin (1 Viewer)

Flacco mad his intentions clear: All he cares about is how much money he makes. There is nothing wrong with this, but then to come out speaking against the trade with salary cap implications is pretty hypocritical.

If he cared about winning championships, he would have taken less money so the Ravens could afford to keep players like Boldin.

He cared this year and made less money. It's a biz and you obviously have bias by the title of your thread and by its contents, but never the less, Boldin was being just as selfish saying he would not take less money.Regardless of the amount, intentions are the same. Horrible argument, even worse thread.

Or the Ravens could have found a way to pay both guys that helped carry them to a championship. $6MM in this market isn't all that extraoridnary in this market for one of the better possession WRs in the game. While he can't really seperate anymore, with his size and strength he's shown he doesn't really need to - just put the ball there and he'll come down with it.

super bowl teams have a lot of good players they have to pay or they have paid... ray rice was last years reward, flacco this year.. if boldin was 28, it would be a different story.. he got paid when they traded for him a few years back, NFL is a cut throat business....

If he cared about winning championships, he would have taken less money played for league minimum so the Ravens could afford to keep players like Boldin.
Why not go all the way.

That is incorrect. Flacco has stated all along "It was never about the money...it is about respect"

All-pro players should play for the league minimum so they can be on the same team and win Super Bowls!

How stupid. Flacco has around 15 years to make as much money as he can. While Super Bowls are nice, football is just a game. Financial security for the rest of your life is much more important than winning.

His cap number went down this year after the deal. Nothing to do with it. Well done by you though.
Well done, sir. Derailed this train wreck from post #2.

Wow....Team Captain material there. Bet you give a helluva pregame speech.

Embarrassing OP.
Yup. Somebody is pissed their favorite Ravens jersey is now $10 at discount stores....
Yeah either that or I knew the Raven's were idiots for trading Boldin. I agree with the rest of this thread though, as I was making the title as sensational as possible, Flacco should do all he can to maximize his contract. This mistake was solely on the Raven's management.
