Existing Keeper league switching to Auction (1 Viewer)

We've been discussing switching to an auction rather than a draft for one of my leagues, and we are trying to figure out how to best handle a transition for this year. This is a keeper league (keeping 5 players) that's been around for several years. The teams with stronger keepers are obviously more in favor of more relaxed rules so they would be able to hold onto as much of their talent as possible. The teams with lesser talent don't want to see things skewed further against them. The initial thought was to choose one set of 2012 auction values and have those be the costs to keep a player for this year and then we would have our inflation rules take effect next year. Does anyone have any better ideas?

If you go that route, you may want to average 3-5 sources of auction values. That way, you don't have people angling for a specific set of rankings because their players are undervalued on that set.
