Dynasty: QB Connor Cook, Oakland Raiders (1 Viewer)

Michigan State's Connor Cook was voted quarterback most likely to bust in a poll of 17 NFL scouts conducted by the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
"He's certainly not a front-line starter that can win you games," one NFL exec said, comparing Cook to Kyle Orton. Cook's six votes just edged out Paxton Lynch's five for the (dis)honor, with Christian Hackenberg coming in third with three votes. "Like to have a better work ethic out of a quarterback," an AFC scout added about Cook. "He liked to hit the streets and chase."

The Browns are interested in Michigan State QB Connor Cook if they trade out of the No. 8 pick, according to Alex Marvez.

The selection would be in the later part of round one. The Browns have now been linked to Paxton Lynch and Cook, among others, at the quarterback position. It seems like a strong possibility that the Browns trade back again, as "analytical studies" might point to more picks leading to more success.

Ironically the Browns actually traded out of the 4th round pick so another team could take him.

According to the SF Chronicle's Vic Tafur, there is "no way" fourth-round pick Connor Cook will beat out Matt McGloin for the Raiders' No. 2 quarterback job.
Cook got a brief look with the second-team offense at June minicamp, but McGloin is clearly ahead of him on the depth chart in training camp. In past preseason and real-game appearances, McGloin has looked shockingly competent and was rewarded with a $2.553 million tender this spring. The Raiders will open the season with three quarterbacks on their 53-man roster.
