McCarthy: Benson had surgery yesterday. He will not be back with us this season.

I said earlier (didn't know about the surgery) but I think the career is over. With the age and the type of injury, that is HARD to bounce back from. Much younger men have taken a good year to rebound. Its hard to see benson being so coveted that he would be worth the wait to some team.

This is exactly why we haven't heard much about it, at least on this board. No one was going to rely on Benson if he came back from his injury for the fantasy playoffs, especially with that schedule. In the same vein, no one was going to rely on Starks/Green (hopefully) either at this point.

The implications in the fantasy world are minimal.

THye should bring nack Grant. If you look at his last several games last year he was decent - esp compared to the curent dreck.

I definitely thought he looked better than Starks last year.

Don't think it was a very amicable divorce between him and the Pack.
