You're sure how I would react?  I can tell you that you would surely be wrong.  I wouldn't think twice about it.  Especially if used in that context.  And I wouldn't walk out of work 2 days before a big game/meeting/event because of it. 

That poor man.  I hope he survives that vicious figure-of-speech.  He should probably take a full week off to fully recover.

As an owner of a few Bucs, not named Jameis, I hope he takes his time getting healthy.
