I was speaking purely from a trade value perspective. I am happy with what he got me yesterday. But as far as going forward value, there were a lot of red flags out of that performance.
I hope you guys are right. I would love to trade this guy but he doesn’t have much value after this performance. Hopefully he does have a good game to up his value.
Yes, we got really lucky with the TDs. And I didn't think Hunt would get that much play this first week. It sucks that Ford couldn't separate himself when he had the chance. This seems like big time RBBC. We just need to guess who will get the TDs from week to week.
This is what people are glossing over. In Monday's game, Chubb was averaging 6.4 ypc. With the same line, against the same team, Ford was averaging 2.4 ypc before his broken play long run. That could be his game; gets nowhere but over time, he will break a long run. However, that has not...
Good point. The following 4 games (plus a bye) are brutal for the Browns running game. Ford was pretty bottled up, and that was against the worst run def in the league. Early on I can't imagine Hunt is much better. I don't think either is startable for six weeks when they play Seattle.
I would lump Akers, Fornette and Hunt all together. Taylor probably would have commanded a Chubb like role. Amongst those other guys and Ford I don't see anyone of them with that type of ability.
Don't forget, they are getting a mostly free look at Hunt. They could let him go in a week if...
If this is true that would mean Hunt is Chubb's replacement. The lesser paid Ford is a backup to keep him healthy.
I don't think that is the case but I do think this will be a RBBC similar to Hunt/Chubb. Ford continuing to be pedestrian or Hunt not being in game shape can easily swing in...
The problem is if he is the number 2 like when he was in Cleveland before Ford won't have any value. Chubb was good with the limited work load because he was averaging 5 ypc. Ford's 2 ypc won't cut it.
I didn't think I was going to have to stress about my lineup decision. This news makes me want to put Elijah in. Would you guys start him over Josh Kelley?
Is this your gut feeling or have you heard something?
It stinks if he doesn't play but if it makes sure it is only a one-week deal then that is worth it.
Exactly why I was so happy to take him this year. Needless to say these first week rumors of out, boot, H.A.S. really have me annoyed and thinking I should have stuck w a WR.
