My favorite line I ever read about him was something like "every time I watch Jokic play, I'm reminded how bumblebees aren't supposed to be able to fly."
SOP for the US of A and big money organizations.
It happened with the 2008 bailouts and the medical community is a bigger deal than that. I was on a video call today about a company that makes a specific type of medical equipment. One of the replacement parts they manufacture and sell costs...
Technically, this is kind of a week of somethings but....
I started a new job last week. This is my 6th day on the job.
I got 40% increase in pay and now work from home full time instead of full time in the office.
Last night I sent an exit interview document to my old employer where I...
Boston shot 8/35, but more importantly gave up 13/28. If they were playing HORSE I could see your point. But shot selection and defensive intensity/pressure can influence both of those numbers and that is what I and others are referring to.
Wonder why Minnesota hasn't suffered a similar fate...
Man, I wish I could have stayed up to watch that game. Especially after my disgust at Boston's weekly egg-laying ceremony.
My body is shutting down at 9:30 pm every night and then waking me up at like 5:30 am. Yay getting old!!
I feel like it is similar to what Stevens went through toward the end of his tenure. They listen to and respect Mazzulla but he can't really push or motivate them. I think Udoka was different in that regard, but we only had 1 season of him.
Just finished Celtics game....well I didn't really watch the last 5 minutes, but these guys just don't seem to care about playing great all the time for some reason. Sure you aren't going to shoot great every game, but you don't have to play half-assed defense at the same time.
I like both Knicks and Pacers effort and even their contrasting styles.
But if the Knicks win the series and Boston let's them get offensive rebounds like the Pacers do, I'm driving to Boston to punch them all in the face. It baffles me how professionals can't put in the effort and focus to box...
It would be a 4 or 5 game series with 4 blowouts.
Knicks rely on out hustling people and Minnesota does that as well but with a ton of talent.
I still think the Pacers force a game 7, but not sure they can win one in NY.
I couldn't stay up past the 1st qtr last night, but looking at the box score....ooof, Luka.
Shooting splits of 31.6/12.5/60 and asst/to of 9:5 is not good. Based on my quick/dirty analysis I like to do, Luka used 29 possessions to score 19 points which is .655 ppp. For comparison, Tatum's...
In full disclosure, I had originally typed Dennis Johnson, but then looked up the team stats for that year and realized Gus was their leading scorer and easily had the best advanced stats for the season.
Meh. He's not MJ or even ( :yucky: ) Kobe, but this team is good enough that he doesn't need to be. He can be Chuncey Billups or Gus Williams...just slightly the best player on a great, balanced team.
Man, sorry to hear that.
It may not be the stereotypical symptoms, but you are describing depression and I reacted the same way to it. I've been exactly where you were. If it is continuing, you may need to see a counselor (I had limited success there) or take medication (had more success...
