I believe the current count for the Pats is four second round selections and four third rounders...that's a lot of potential talent that will have have very low salary cap numbers.

Some interesting comments from BB with regard to the Cassel deal and Peppers.
Also, if you look down a little further the Pats had Pat White in for a visit and worked him out at QB and WR.

Whether it's BS or legit there has been a ton of talk about the Cowboys adding a first round RB in the draft. Whether it's McFadden, Stewart or Felix Jones it seems many of the "experts" feel the Boys will be adding another quality RB to their stable...and quite frankly the names being thrown...
Moss is practicing today in full pads and Caldwell is no longer a Patriot...it would seem we can put those rumors to rest (although I'd love to see a source on them).
Also, there's a Q&A with Moss. It's nothing too interesting but the fact Reiss didn't even discuss the rumors was what...
The Pats announced their PUP list and Maroney's not on it. You don't want to overanalyze things but when it comes to the Pats and injuries you have to play detective and this could be a little clue to his status.

Looks like Seau will be in Foxboro this season. While it would be nice to add a young LB this is a nice move. The Pats need depth at LB and Junior played very well for them last year. If he plays like he did in 06 he will be an asset.

The guys who write over at Patriots.com do a real good job. There's a lot of info here...rankings, rumors and a mock draft. For Patriot fans there's a little extra but there's plenty of non-Patriot stuff here.

This is somewhat of a surprise coming on the heels of the Welker offer. Yet, it does mesh with my thoughts that the Pats know that with Brady turning 30 this year they probably have a five year window where they have an excellent opportunity to...

• Where will the biggest of the free-agent names end up? Sources I talked to Thursday said not to discount linebacker Adalius Thomas winding up with New England -- despite an expected price tag that could approach $9 million per...
Eugene Wilson's been put on the IR. He hasn't been playing too well the last year and a half but he's made more than his share of big plays and isn't afraid to give out a big hit. It's truly amazing the rash of injuries this unit has had the last three seasons...
Important move for the Pats. He was their biggest free agent to be. This means that all starters on both sides of the line as well as all the key reserves are signed to multi-year deals. Since all of them are young this will give the Pats stability in the trenches for the foreseeable future...
The Cincy passing game is tough enough to defend when your team's healthy:

It's truly amazing how many injuries the Pats secondary has had the past few years. Actually it's amazing how many injuries in general the Pats have had over the past...
Two young backs I'm very intrigued by. It's easy to see scenarios where both can become very productive now or in the near future. So the big question is which one has more value from a keeper aspect? Also, what do you think the upside is for these two (and why)? Will they both eventually...
This kid Koenen has a monster leg. He was nailing some bombs against the Pats last weekend. He also hit a 58 yarder against them last year. Does anyone know if he's nailed down the Falcon job? If you play in a league that awards bonus points for long ones his combo of a big league leg and...

Looks like the Pats are still in the mix for Law. He'd be a great addition to their secondary. Besides being a veteran presence to go along with the youngsters they would be very deep at the CB position. While not the player he was...
After months of speculation and rumors the draft is here. It all becomes black and white tommorrow. Gms, coaches and execs from around the league will be making picks and wheelin' and dealin'. So, my question is...

Patriots.com Draft Board: Running Backs Tom Casale, Patriots Football Weekly
With Corey Dillon and Kevin Faulk both getting up there in age, drafting a young running back would make sense for the Patriots. Here is Patriots.com running back rankings for the upcoming draft, including...
Definetly a step in the right direction. Neal's resigning means the O line should be in good shape. With Light and Koppen coming back from injuries and Mankins and Kaczur gaining more experience this unit should be together for quite sometime (Koppen getting extended would solidify that)...
