Folks should love watching The Detroit Lions since opposing fantasy players starting against them go off every week. Forte and Cutler in week 1 & Vick and McCoy week 2. This has been the fantasy trend for many years now so Detroit is always entertaining to watch.
They each (Forsett, Washington and JJ) got a crack starting a preseason game - None were overly impressive in their limited carries in the preseason starter role. To nobody's surprise, reports have indicated Julius Jones to be the least impressive of the three. I would expect Forsett and...

I don't think he is a special back, but is by far the best RB on the roster. Put up nice numbers last year in a limited role. His rush schedule looks very favorable and think he puts up RB 2/3 numbers. He is a good...
He is not in a great situation, but my opinion right now is that he represents good value in redrafts based on his current ADP. I am hoping things stay quiet and I can nab him......maybe as a 3rd or 4th RB and hope he performs at least as a low-end #2.
I never understood the hype surrounding this guy. He was NOT a great college running back. My opinion is that he was a multi-dimensional type guy who could do a lot of things okay, but nothing particularly great and wasn't overly explosive on the field.
He had a excellent 40 yard at the...
I was very surprised when Royal had his solid rookie campaign. I remember Royal being a good return guy at Virginia Tech, but he never had more than 500 receiving yards in a college season. There may be many reasons for that, but to me it sends a red flag. As a result, I predicted him as a...
Kevin Smith was a Matt Millen pick and did not like it when they moved up in the 3rd round to take him in 2008. Even at that time, I told my draft buddies there were better backs on the board including Jamal Charles, Steve Slaton, Tashard Choice, and Jalen Parmele. Being local to Detroit and...
I like rankings that are sort of "out of the box". However, Kevin Smith should not be showing up on any top 20 lists. He is a mediocre back at best and coming off a seperated shoulder and ACL reconstructive surgery there is no way he is going to finish in the top 20. He tore is ACL in week 14...
From what I remember, he may have had the fastest 40 yard time at the combine. However, his stats at Virgina were nothing special. I never understood FBG's infatuation with this guy.
I always thought Justin Forsett was just as productive of a back as Marshawn Lynch at Cal. Lynch was a first round pick in 07 while Forsett was a 7th round pick in 08. Lynch came out in a relatively weak RB class of 07 while Forsett came out in a strong class in 08. I realize there were...

Jamaal Charles-RB-Chiefs Nov. 4 - 4:42 pm et
Coach Todd Haley said Wednesday that he is "hopeful" Jamaal Charles will "grab this (Week 9 starting) opportunity by the horns."
"He’s got a great opportunity here and I know he’s excited. He had a good day today," Haley said after...
I watched the entire game last night and thought for the most part LT looked pretty good against a top tier run defense. Sure, the old LT would have taken one of those runs to the house. However, the 30 year old LT is still a middle of the pack starting NFL back which means I think he could...
I agree with this assessment. Pierre will get the bulk of the work. I think Bell could get anywhere from zero to as many as 8 carries depending on the situation of the game and the magnitude of the Saints lead in games. I can see Bell getting more carries only if the Saints are up big in a...
I had Brees benched in favor of Cutler. The Jets have a solid pass defense and the Saints D helped enable an early lead so Brees didn't have to air it out. Brees will be fine long term, but might not achieve last years numbers since the Saints D is much better than last year.
I wasn't as high on this guy as some other folks were. In his final year at Michigan State he posted huge numbers against bad teams, but was rather pedestrian against good teams.
