Official weekly weather forecast for games (1 Viewer)

whole-show

Footballguy
A thread earlier got me to thinking how there were threads for weather forecasts for games in the past and they were always very helpful to me,  so I figured I’d start this thread to help people out, including myself, with their fantasy players depending on weather.  I’ll start with the game tonight as there is a chance of rain forecasted.

Constructive criticism alert: sometimes less is more.  Temp / Precipitation / Wind is all that is needed.  Thanks for the thread though.
I agree, came in thinking I will get a first look at what games are trouble and had to bail. No offense to the OP but this is way too much to digest.

My notes on:

  • NO/CHI - 23 mph winds
  • TEN/CIN - 19 mph winds
  • LV/CLE - 27 mph winds
  • MIN/GB - 24 mph winds
  • NE/BUF - 21 mph winds

Looks like a decent chance of some rain showers in Baltimore at game time. Winds at 15 MPH, which could make kicking interesting.

NO/CHI-Nobody is going Foles and Brees dinks and dunks, no receivers but he's gonna dump it off to Kamara at least 10x today.

TEN/CIN-Under 20 mph winds, think Tannehill can find Brown under and watch him break it off like he does. Burrow has a young lively arm, he'll be fine in under 30 mph conditions.

LV/CLE-Timeout...I think Carr could be impacted, road game in some windy conditions and maybe the gusts are a little more. And the Browns like to run the ball so this will only push that narrative further.

MIN/GB-Rodgers should be used to this

NE/BUF-Who is starting Cam at this point? Allen deals with wind in Buffalo every day.

Just some quick hits.

In Buffalo...we have had some very strong wind gusts already this AM.  Only supposed to get worse.  Allen should be fine if he uses his legs.

Several good kickers in play. Lutz, Crosby, Bailey. I'm starting Lutz with less than 100% confidence.

Anyone with Crosby should already have a possible alternative as he has been iffy all week with a calf and back issue.  I actually already switched him out for Prater.

One forecast model is calling for wind gusts around 50mph in Cleveland during gametime. I’d guess that’s a bit on the high side, but general idea remains: problematic wind.

--------------------------------------

Their is wind here and rain, its unstable enough to play a role affecting the passing game.

  • LV/Cle (Winds 21-26 mph, gusts 40+; rain)

Sounds good. I was just using from the site that I use, but from now on I will shorten it up. 👍🏻 I was just thinking people may have liked the quarter break down throughout the game. I will take it out from now on and just give the basic forecast for the game.

I'm dropping kicker Carlson for Gould. Also benching R.Higgins for Reagor.

Already been back and forth on Fulgham vs Tee...19 mph winds make me lean Fulgham.

Looking nasty in Baltimore today for the game vs Steelers. Saying winds 10-18 mph and rain throughout the game.

With all the issues I’ve decided to throw sheets in the wind and avoid changing things. Every option I have is from another game with issues.

Jets vs Seahawks- expected to be 41 degrees with a 64% chance of rain and 6 mph. Light winds will blow from end zone to end zone. Turnovers will be higher with slick conditions.

Steelers vs Bills- expected to be 38 degrees with 2% chance of rain and 9 mph winds. Moderate winds blowing diagonally across the field will make passing and kicking difficult.
