Apologies if Honda. I haven't been able to keep up.

Please read and watch and share these two things.

1. Excellent visualization showing how it helps so much if regular healthy people will stay home. https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2020/world/corona-simulator/

2. This simple picture makes the same point. https://twitter.com/danorlovsky7/status/1239006282163589122/photo/1

Please share both.

You as a healthy person have a BIG role in this. Don't feel hopeless. There is something you can do to help. Stay home.

We are all part of the social puzzle. Please stay at home and let’s ride this out.

After having a long talk Friday about how we all agreed to stay home for everything except essential groceries, meds, etc, my dad told me he went to the gym last night. I had to scold him for the first time in my life. Hopefully the point sticks.

Please forward to any state, federal officials and big business types you know.

Even though Seattle is one of the epicenters for this my work is still open and you are coming in if you are deemed business critical and can't WFH.

I'm sure every city has many businesses following this same plan.

Agreed.

What I like about both of those is they do what all good graphics or visualizations do - make a complicated and maybe abstract problem much simpler to understand. They seem to be effective.

I've been sharing this information with our work health team...will share the WP article as it visualizes what's hard for others to understand.

Thanks.

And yes, stay home! Stay home. Stay home!

my daughter posted:

"our parents and grandparents and great grandparents were called to war.

we are called to sit on our couches.

i think we can do this."
Love this. Can I steal it and credit "a friend"?

Does this count as a note for my employer?

Also as a telecommuter, this is BS since I’ll still be working all week while you all watch Netflix. 😤

Thanks, Joe.  I shared the Post article with those excellent charts with my family.  My daughter works for the Alzheimer's Association national call center, and I expect having solid information like that will be valuable to her and those who call in.
