Ward, Greg PHI WR (1 Viewer)

(fantasypros) Eagles wide receiver Greg Ward caught seven of his nine targets for 61 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Washington Redskins.

Analysis: Ward's 61 yards receiving were tied with Zach Ertz for the team lead, and his touchdown came with under a minute to go in the fourth quarter to give the Eagles the lead. With Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson on injured reserve and Nelson Agholor missing three of the last four games, Ward has surprisingly emerged as Philadelphia's best wide receiver.

Greg Ward caught 4-of-5 targets for 71 yards in the Eagles' Week 16 win over the Cowboys.

With Zach Ertz injuring his ribs, Dallas Goedert tweaking something late and JJ Arcega-Whiteside aggravating his foot injury, Ward was something of the last pass catcher standing on Sunday. Regardless of the health of those around him, he enters Week 17 guaranteed at least 6-8 looks and likely more. Ward will help make the salaries fit in DFS.
If you needed a Flex in the Championship game, his 7.1 in standard probably was fine for you.

Everyone is great this time of year.
People say such when an un-hyped player gets some media attention. Nobody hopped on to say this in the Johnathan Taylor thread though.

Ward had a pretty good stretch the end of last year, although I can understand why people were skeptical. He filled in well for injuries, but maybe that was that. With DeSean coming back, Jeffery returning (maybe), and the additions Goodwin and Reagor it made sense to not expect much from Ward, or for him to even get on the field. Maybe the end of 2019 was a statistical mirage.

But now the coach is saying he's probably going to start. Call me crazy, but I think that's significant.

Goodwin opted out.

Eagles’ Greg Ward Jr. is not banking on having a roster spot, even though it looks as if he will have one

“Wentz was once again surgical in the redzone, throwing 2 TDs on the opening drill of the day from inside the 10-yd line. His 1st went to DJax, who he found along the sideline in the back of the end zone, and his 2nd went to Greg Ward, who is quickly becoming his favorite target”

Greg Ward caught 8-of-11 targets for 72 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles' Week 3 tie with the Bengals.

Ward was forced to take on a bigger role for the Eagles with Dallas Goedert (ankle) and DeSean Jackson (hamstring) both going down in the first half. His 11 targets led the Eagles as did his 72 receiving yards. He walked in for an easy score after the Cincinnati secondary forgot to cover him over the top on a play. If the Eagles' weapons miss time and Alshon Jeffrey (foot) remain sidelined, Ward will be an intriguing flex option that can be had off the waiver wire in most leagues.

Greg Ward caught 5-of-6 targets for 39 yards in the Eagles' Week 10 loss to the Giants.

Ward remains the slot man in three-receiver sets for the Eagles even with Alshon Jeffery being active. It's not a role destined for fantasy production with Carson Wentz struggling. Ward can be dropped in 12-team leagues even during bye weeks.

NBC Sports' Dave Zangaro projected WR Greg Ward as a 2021 starter for the Eagles.

Zangaro said Ward is the favorite to start the season as the team's lot receiver. Devonta Smith and Jalen Reagor would serve as outside receivers in the Eagles' Jalen Hurts-led offense. Ward, a converted quarterback who -- incredibly -- always ends up as the team's top wideout for stretches of the season, would presumably be third or fourth in the offense's target pecking order behind Smith, Reagor, and Dallas Goedert (assuming Zach Ertz is dealt in the coming months). Ward, 25, lead Philadelphia with 79 targets, 53 receptions, and six receiving scores in 2020. He'll likely be waiver wire fodder in 2021 outside of the deepest fantasy formats.
