2019 rookie rankings Post NFL draft pick 1.05 (Closed) (1 Viewer)

Well that took forever it seems. Now that all the picks are in, here we go again.

The purpose of these polls is to get an idea of who the majority of voters prefer at a specific pick in a rookie draft. These drafts assume that all 2019 rookie players are available. For the 2QB poll there may be some variance in scoring. Some may be standard, others PPR. I think a lot of 2QB leagues may involve IDP as well so these differences are not accounted for here. Only looking at the offensive skill players in the two most common formats and also 2QB leagues, to get a sense of where the QB are valued relative to other positions, when there is actually scarcity at the QB position. For the TE premium poll this assumes the scoring format is PPR because that is what these leagues almost always are. The polls assume 12 teams and likely 24-26 roster spots as the most common format for dynasty. Short bench dynasty leagues should only care about the top 6-12 rookie players.

If a player isn't listed that you would vote for please vote other and then post the name of the player that you voted for so that player can be added to the next poll. Also please suggest players not listed that you would vote for soon, even if not on the particular poll that is active.

I don't have any lists to follow for populating the poll, so I will just add players based off their draft position for now. As always I appreciate suggestions of players you think should be listed in a poll.

I am looking for suggestions on a 3rd QB for the 2 QB poll.

Will Grier is the next QB by NFL draft position at 100 he went to the Panthers. It is a huge gap in draft position between Lock at 42.

Similarly I need a 3rd TE to list in the TE premium poll to list after Sternberger and Irv Smith. Josh Oliver was selected by the Jaguars with pick 69 or the other option would be Kahale Warring who went to the Texans at pick 84.

I removed Irv Smith from the standard and PPR polls for now to make more room for other players.

Just looking at draft position, people are reaching on those RB who were drafted much later than the WR were.

Grier would be the next QB in my opinion. I'm not sure who'd really even be in the conversation to be after him, Finley maybe?

Josh Oliver is neck and neck with Sternberger and Smith in my opinion, and he's arguably in a better situation than either, as the Jags don't have any established WR's taking major targets. 

RB thirst is real, its a much more valuable position in fantasy than in the NFL. If we wanted fantasy value to resemble NFL value, every league would start 2 QB's and 1 RB. I have 1 league that goes 2-1-2-1 with no kicker or defense, with 10 teams and 15 roster spots, and its probably my favorite league, because it makes RB's a small piece of the puzzle. 

Will Grier, Ryan Finley, and Jarrett Stidham would be the next three that I would include.

WTF is going on?  People taking DK Metcalf (64th overall pick) over TJ Hockenson (8th overall pick).

Good to know so many people like to roll the dice against the odds.

I think putting a lot of weight behind where a guy was drafted is a recipe for failure. It also goes against logic, especially when the players in question play different positions. I mean, by that way of thinking, why isn't Kyler Murray going #1?

Personally, I'm not taking Hockenson until around the end of round 1, and its likely not even then, as there are some WR's I like a lot more than others do, like Arcega-Whiteside or Isabella, that I would take over Hockenson as well.
