Now that the NFL draft is complete and we have had a few days to let things sink in, lets find out what the SP thinks of the rookies and where they stack up against each other for fantasy.

I decided to expand to four different polls post NFL draft, as now we can consider how each player fits with their teams and what that may mean in terms of fantasy points.

I am populating the poll from my own rankings, with the exception of the 2QB poll where I will slot the top 3 QB choices at all times. If a player is not listed that you think should be, please recommend that they be added to the appropriate poll. If you would vote for a player who is not listed please vote other and post who you voted for, and that player will be added to the next poll.

Discussion welcome. Thanks everyone for voting.

36 votes in. There seems to be a strong preference for Mixon with voters so far. Mike Williams getting some support here.

No doubt people have their opinion, but everything on Cooks side checks out better than Mixons to me. The top picks can go in any order, but just dont see the argument that Mixon should go ahead of Cook, and I have seen the arguments all over the Cook and Mixon threads. I would have taken Mixon higher if he went to the Packers or Eagles, but the Bengals dont tip the edge for him to pass Cook in my opinion. Just seems when choosing between the two in PPR, you have to take Cook. Hill and Bernard seem like a tougher task to pass than Murray and McKinnon. Then after this year I can see the focus of the Vikings being more about Cook than the Bengals make theirs about Mixon with all the passing options they have. The Bengals invested more in their WR pick than they did in their RB pick. Not that that typical means much, but it shows the Bengals have no sign of not utilizing their pass game a lot. While that means some catches for Mixon, they still have guys like Green, Eifert, Ross, Boyd and Bernard to give passes to. Bernard is not going to stop catching passes just because Mixon is there. Hill is gone next year, I can see Mixon taking his roll for the next few years. I can see the Vikings offense being all about Cook in 2018.

This doesn't account for mixon being the better football player and athlete

Yes it does, I said we all have opinions and mine is that Cook is the far superior athlete. I'm not targeting either, I am going Howard with my 5th pick based off of my team needs. I need a playmaking TE bad. No dog in the fight. But as I said looking at both, I would go Cook and I explained why. I can see the Sports Science and game tape and argue its laughable you believe Mixon is the better athlete, Cooks ability to cut in pads and stay fast in pads is unmatched by a rookie in this class. But going back, I accounted for the opinion of others with my very first sentence.

You actually didn't mention athletic ability in your entire post. You said everything on cooks sides checks out better than mixons, and then went into detail about their landing spots. Just pointing out that that can all be trumped by one or the other simply being the better player

I believe that would include the athletic ability. When talking about the weather on a nice clear sunny day, I always state the obvious about the sky being blue before I go into details about how warm it is.  ;)

I think you will find yourself in the minority on this one. Mixon is an all around, athletic back that can catch and block as well
