This poll is to find out where rookie players stack up after the combine.

My goal is to run these polls up until the NFL and see how far we can get. Hopefully a top 25 at least, but if polls go fast maybe we can get deeper than that. Will have to see how this goes.

There are two polls, one for typical 12 team leagues 20 roster spots, PPR or standard scoring. Although there are some differences between these two scoring formats, I don't think the information gained by that difference is much, the order should be about the same except that WR should be valued more in PPR leagues.

The second poll is for 2 QB leagues as I want to see where the QBs are valued compared to other players in this format.

Please suggest players you think should be on the next set of polls or changes you might make to the players currently available in the poll.

I am pulling names from Mike Clays nice top 100 list here. But I will add new players based on the communities recommendations before just adding the next player from Mikes list.

Discussion very welcome.

Don't know about your leagues but there will be in many.
Tight end premium I could possibly buy that, but otherwise I doubt it.  Hunter Henry had one of the best rookie TE finishes in recent memory and no one is valuing him near the 1.5.  Seems unlikely that many will value a rookie TE ahead of Henry. Just not a lot of upside taking any rookie TE this early given what they tend to do. Many would value the 1.5 on par or above all TEs excluding Gronk. Doesn't seem reasonable to expect Howard will do enough to justify picking him that early. I'm reading all the blurbs everyone else is on Howard and obviously he had a great combine but it's probably going to take a rookie season in the realm of 65/800/5 for him to hold value next year comparable to 1.5 this year.

Like I said I'd love to see him rise into top 5/6 as ebron did in quite a few 2014 rookie drafts post NFL draft but my sense is rookie TE history will scare most away.

Howard > Henry imo. And Howard is a more complete player than ebron.

But people are really overvaluing picks if they'll take the 5 over kelce and reed.  I'll take Henry over picks after Howard is taken.

Eta: your comment about te enhanced leagues is fair.  All my leagues for the past few years have been TE enhanced, so I tend to assume that scoring system.

I'm pretty surprised that Corey Davis went before Mike Williams.  I would take him over Williams 10/10 but Davis being at the smaller school, no pro day, no combine, and hardly any numbers at all is still ahead of Williams.  I thought there were way more Williams supporters than that and that the lack of workout numbers for Davis would make him slide a little.  Maybe we're dealing with people too smart in the shark pool.  I would have assumed their values were moving in opposite directions with Williams moving up and Davis moving down, but I guess the "tape" on Davis is just too damn good that people are ignoring the fact he hasn't worked out.  Kinda makes me mad that I don't think I'll be able to get him at 1.04 anymore and I might just have to take him at 1.01.
