d) Holding breath underwater. 24 minutes, 3 seconds. In addition to training, there are a number of techniques needed to go such an incredible length of time, such as breathing pure oxygen before attempting the event to flush carbon dioxide from the body in advance, as building carbon dioxide turning the blood acidic is the problem when holding your breath. Also mastering a technique of closing off the airways then pushing cheek-fulls of air into the lungs to overload them can add 3 liters of extra air.

Including repeat rolls for having gotten doubles, 9 rolls total over 2 turns by each player. Player 1 must pick up money from a Community Chest card, and then on his second turn buy Park Place and Boardwalk, pass Go for more money and then put houses on them. Player 2 on his second turn then gets an advance to Boardwalk card and goes bankrupt due to the houses.

Precipitation. It's a rain gauge.

It grew inside the bottle. The bottles are placed over pear buds when they are small, and are wired in place on the tree. The bottle is left in place for the entire growing season. When the pears are ripe, they are snipped off at the stems.

Charles. Charles Montgomery Burns.
