I loved this movie. Born and raised in WV. Still live here. I grew up with, and still have friends that are exactly like this. When he pours beer on the bee stings.... I had a friend do that after getting into a hornets nest while we were stacking hay in his barn.

Season 1 was showing for free on Prime months ago, that's when I saw that. Haven't seen Season 2 yet but 1 was very good IMO

Caught this one last october, obviously really liked it. It's one I kept moving up as I edited my list
I really liked this movie on first watch. Woody Harrelson's character is by far my favorite. I'm not a fan of fast zombies though. I have thoughts on why it doesn't work in most scenarios, though I do have one fast zombie movie on my list.
Still haven't seen this one yet. Dumped Paramount+ last year because there just isn't enough content to justify the price.

I did too, all the way to #6. Only movie of any genre I've seen more than once at the theater in the last 5 years.

I watched the free episodes and won't be returning. I was irritated at how they handled new people - they needed to print up some cards and hand them to new people rather than telling them 5% of what they need to know when the camera is on them, then not saying anything more for a few hours until the camera is back. Silly complaint, but it bugged the hell out of me.
Yeah, too many gaping holes in this one.

The "chase" scene with the guy using the walker in Cockneys vs Zombies is an all-timer.

Great song from The Ramones for it, but the movie itself? Meh
That's the part that elevates the movie to the upper tier IMO. The flashbacks and visions of the sister are bone-chilling

Sorry, it's the original. I'll update the google sheet. 9 times out of 10 it will be the original but my spreadsheet looks these things up and if a remake is listed first on the big database I downloaded that's what gets pulled in. I correct what I can manually, but obviously miss a few.
Agree it’s my favorite- I found it absolutely terrifying even if I never fully understood the whole plot. Sometimes that’s preferred to things being overly explained.

Apropos of nothing, I learned fairly recently that the actress that played Rachel (Denise Crosby) was the estranged granddaughter of Bing Crosby and the niece of who shot J.R. (Mary Crosby).
Yeah almost all of the movies in the countdown are silly if you think about the plot. Horror movies rarely make logical sense or take place in reality. It’s an easy genre for me to let go and just embrace the ride.

I'm realizing that I favor horror movies that fully immerse themselves in specific past eras (e.g.; Late Night with the Devil in the 1970s, Shadow of the Vampire in the 1920s silent film era).
