Aged horribly…..I recently rewatched this stinker. I remember loving it in high school when it came out.

Now it feels like a total comedy but we know it was not trying to be at all. It was a totally serious movie.

Pin Head is basically the only redeeming quality and it’s not enough to carry it anymore.

One of this weird ones where the nostalgia simply did not hold up on my most recent viewing.
I watched it not long ago having not seen it since it first came out and I liked it more than I think I did the first time.
Worlds better than the remake on Hulu. I couldn't even finish it
I agree with both you and Todem. Original is pretty bad on rewatches but it's still >>>>> the remake.

There is another Barker from the 90s I remember loving at the time but have been afraid to rewatch. Looks like it's on HBO, so maybe I will try soon.

Whoops, not sure if it was my fault or just me forgetting there was a 50s version but my vote was for the 80s Jeff Goldblum movie. I don't care one way or another if you adjust the ranks.

Yeah I assumed if there was no year provided, then it's the original.
Yeah that’s my bad. I totally blanked that their was an older version.

Any chance people got mixed up on the different versions of Invasion of the Body Snatchers too? I see @Scoresman is getting my picks right (I was kind of meticulous about dates), but was everyone even aware that the one with Donald Sutherland wasn't the original?

I can live with mine counted as the original. Huge Vincent fan and the first one really is damn good.

I was aware, as I too was meticulous about including year and country on my list to avoid confusion:

My entry:
41 Invasion of the Body Snatchers 1977 US

You should only be concerned if you submitted a movie where you meant the remake, but didnt add the year. So if you submitted just "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" I assumed the original.

You should also be concerned that I made mistakes. lol.

Cool Hellraiser story. I made someone run out of the room to vomit in a college class where I showed a clip of the movie. It was a class on the History of Hell and we were told to present on representations of Hell in media, and I choose Hellraiser. It was the scene (may have been the sequel) where it's in the hospital and the wall opens up and the Hellraiser gang all comes out. I didn't think it was that bad, but I guess I was wrong.

Bagul was creep af. Sinister is the kind of horror movie I like and am always searching for. Yes there is some evilness perpetrated but much of it is not on screen and is alluded to in pictures and old family movies so it's not as too much Hostel or Saw. And Bagul was creepy af, did I mention that already?

You might not know what horror is, but comedy you've got down. ;)

Thanks, I think. The best part was when I searched youtube for "firght night" and something actually came up. Barbara Pisor's going to wonder why her views suddenly went up a few dozen.

This was such an intense movie to watch at a theater. It was packed, yet you could sense everyone really trying to be quiet. I myself have never eaten popcorn so silently

Really enjoyed this one. Sequel I didn't like as much. This Summer comes the third installment, "A Quiet Place: Day One", which looks over-the-top intense and fun.
