Didn't see a thread. Tornado outbreak in eastern Nebraska and western Iowa today. Started earlier down by Lincoln and moved northeast. A big one went through Elkhorn, NE (West Omaha) and Bennington. Quite a bit of damage but it doesn't sound like many injuries. Some small towns in western Iowa might not be so lucky.

I work in Omaha and commute northwest. Left the office after the big one went through. Ran into some quarter-sized hail, but there were some spooky looking clouds out there. Crazy stuff. May be more tomorrow. :(

A picture of a small tornado one of my grand-nephews took from his apartment balcony in eastern Lincoln earlier today.

ETA: Not done in western Iowa apparently. :(

Yikes. Been watching this system since earlier in the week. Looks like most or all of the bad stuff is going north of us. Stay safe, anyone in the path.

It looks like a series of low pressure areas are going to work their way across the country over the next few days, so things could be dicey for a bit. Yesterday in Colorado, we had 70 degree weather throughout the day. 5:00 pm--rain and drizzle starts. Later in the night, thunderstorms start firing up and we get heavy hail. Then at midnight. the snow starts coming down, all the while it is still lightning like crazy. Woodland Park by us is scheduled to get 10-20 inches today and right now we still have a thunderstorm going here. Out further east in Colorado, the radar is just flashing red with how bad those storms are. As they work their way out, it could equal a really bad day for the Midwest.

Crazy weekend up and down the plains. Some small towns in southern OK got absolutely hammered yesterday.
