As a Gates owner I'm happy he's sitting out this week. Better for him to rest and try to heal for two straight weeks than to try to tough it out. He's struggled throughout his career with plantar fascia injuries. Rest up Antonio, we'll hopefully see you in week 11.
I don't find this unfortunate at all (at least not for fantasy football). It's just another factor to take into account when playing the game. It's only a problem if you fail to take the changes in the league into account.
I guess this depends on how your DST scoring works. For leagues that score mostly turnovers, sacks, and D and special teams scores they might be an ok fill in for a team that's desperate. However, for leagues that account for points and/or yards allowed I think most people would stay away...
Currently have offers out for Best. I think that after the Jets game we might see some good things from him in match ups vs: Buf and Dal. :hot:
If I get him he starts, but I have nothing at RB right now so I'll take what I can get.
It's Redraft and I have White and Nicks at WR and Gates at TE so Jennings is expendable. They've been carrying my team and I'm playoff bound at 7-1 but the guy I'm making the offer to is floundering and he doesn't have much at TE or WR. Seems like a good fit, but it doesn't look like he's...
I've been trying to sell for Peterson (packaged with Jennings and Witten for ADP and garbage) but the owner's not biting. Unless I'm getting premium player I'll be holding. They have a decent playoff schedule and I expect decent production from here on out.
The answer to this question depends on whether you are in a redraft, keeper, or dynasty league. Different strategies would apply in these cases.
But assuming you're discussing re-draft. I think you need to probably drop one of your QBs and look to the waiver wire for a replacement. You state...
Don't over react to one game. Brady traditionally doesn't perform all that well at Miami. This team isn't all that bad, especially considering scoring rules. Since you only need to start 1 WR and 1 RB you can easily get by with deep RB talent at your flex position. I wouldn't bail on the...
I just can't get past his voice. By all accounts he's a smart guy (went to Princeton, etc) and I do like his stories and inside perspective on the NFL however. More power to him for landing the gig in spite of his a-typical radio voice, but the voice just bugs me.
Ends up he won't go for the Greene counter as his RB situation is worse than mine. However I almost made the whole thing work with a trade of Jennings and M. Barber for M. Turner and Dez Bryant which would have allowed me to make the Brees/Colston deal and improve at QB and RB with little drop...
I was offered Brees and Colston for MJD and M. Ryan in one league. I'm probably going to turn this down however as I am pretty set at WR with R. White, G. Jennings, H. Nicks, and S. Holmes, and the trade leaves me with almost nothing at RB (Addai, M. Barber, and M. Bush). I was thinking about...
I predict he won't be back until after the week 7 bye. I dropped him for Tony Moeaki and will hopefully have a spot available to pick him back up prior to week 7 and him popping back up on the radar. I still think he can be a quality back up/platoon QB this year if Best/CJ can manage to be...
I also have Santanio stashed although he's unlikely to start for me unless I have injury/bye week issues. I generally agree with most of the above comments. I think he has the talent to put up WR 1-2 numbers, however I think that his numbers will probably be fairly boom or bust in a Jets...
With Caddy, Graham, Blount, and Huggins vying for time, it sounds like there are way too many mouths to feed in the TB offense to grab Blount or Huggins in anything but a very deep redraft league. For dynasty speculation Blount might be a good player to stash, but I don't see a lot of immediate...
As an MJD owner the bottom line for me is that he simply won't get adequate value in a trade right now. From what I saw, he didn't look terrible in the first half of the game yesterday but once they got down they stopped using him effectively. This of course will be a pattern repeated...
The rat strikes again! I should have known better than to be chasing fool's gold. Off to the waiver wire again. Who knows maybe a New England back is available...
