Non-Celiac Gluten Sensitivity (NCGS) is very real though, and some people with gluten sensitivity can get sick. I know three people that about **** themselves blind and have bad stomach pain, bloating, and gas if they eat gluten. One thing those three have in common is IBS. Gluten is a big...
I was just shaking my head  through that whole scene. I reckon she thought she could work Charlie by flashing him with a coquettish smile while boasting about having something up her sleeve. Did she really think Charlie wasn't gonna spread the news? Venus (and that ego of hers) thought too...
That episode showed a picture of Liz eating at Applebee's, and I'm pretty sure her burger wasn't on a bun. It looked like a messy pile of beef, shrooms, maybe onions, and swiss cheese with some fries. Fries can be risky when eaten out cause they can share a greasy oil basket with gluten stuff...
I watched it about 3 weeks ago, and I knew the series was based on a true story, but I didn't know the lead actor was the real person in the true story. I liked him a lot. He was good at playing himself (Donny).
Merlefest was last weekend, and here are a few favorites I saw:
The Teskey Brothers - They are from Australia, and their sound is that of soul music like you would hear on the Stax label. The lead singer's voice is fantastic.
Lukas Nelson and the Promise of the Real - Lukas gets better each...
When Liz went all feral over being denied the chance to eat a Bourbon Burger, Kenzie had a troubled look on her face and her body language looked like she was going to offer up her spot. The camera went back on Liz and then back to the Applebee's Dumpling Gang, and Kenzie had a more relieved...
Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway did a cool cover of "White Rabbit" Thursday night. She also did a cover of She's A Rainbow.
This is the Dan Tyminski Band doing a cover of "Man of Constant Sorrow," and goes out to MoCs. Dan is the lead voice you hear in the Soggy Bottom Boys.
@John Maddens Lunchbox The Aussie band The Teskey Brothers played Saturday night at the Merlefest, and they were excellent. They sound like a band off the Stax label. They would fit right in with the likes of Otis Redding, etc.
@krista4 and @Uruk-Hai The Saturday Hillside Album Hour...
I agree Corn wasn't the greatest adaptation, but it wasn't the worst either. I think the actor who played Isaac was great and creepy as hell. It helped that he was actually 23 years old at the time, but he had a growth hormone deficiency so he looked like an elementary/middle school kid, but...
I'm pleasantly surprised her cover made the list. I love it, but I didn't think it struck a chord with many in the countdown. I'm glad you liked it enough to add it to your list of 400+ covers. Yay!
I remember seeing Hole back in 1995 on the Lalapooloza tour. Their set was one of the best that day. Courtney performed like she was releasing years of pent-up rage, and the band rocked. I remember her doing a solo performance of Pennyroyal Tea, and when she was done she threw her guitar out...
Are you sure the drug one was a problem? We have done songs about drugs in the past without mod interference. I thought your idea was axed due to some of the sex categories that may have been perceived as raunchy.
