I don't think he missed it. At least for me. I understood that to be 10 things Attia thought were important. More here if folks are interested. https://peterattiamd.com/how-to-train-for-the-centenarian-decathlon/ Either way, the point seems to be find 10 functional practical things you want to...

How Can The Forum Be Better? Your Thoughts?

Unfortunately, yes. The PSF was always sort of an "overflow" for keeping the FFA as good as it could be. The goal was always doing all we could to keep this place the best it could be. If that meant cleaning out the political talk to another "room", that made sense at first. But you're right in...

How Can The Forum Be Better? Your Thoughts?

Thank you @Thorn Yes, that sounds exactly like I remember it. And it's how I see it today. With my real name on stuff and doing this as long as I have, my "work life" is pretty public for anyone that knows me to see. And I always want those to be in alignment. It was the "church" and "judging...

    **Official Longevity Thread**

I know I'm the only person here who doesn't hate Twitter these days, but part of the reason why I like it so much is I continually get value from it. This was in my "for you" feed this morning. Detailed thread on Patter Attia and longevity. https://x.com/bensmithlive/status/1787785436338823541

How Has The Balance Of Power Changed For Employee - Employer Relationship Compared To 50 Years Ago?

One thing I think some companies miss: A good company finds out what an employee wants. And it's not always money. Money of course is the main thing usually. But different people put all kinds of different values on things like Title, Hours required, Flexibility, Work from Home, Work from...

How Has The Balance Of Power Changed For Employee - Employer Relationship Compared To 50 Years Ago?

I would add, I don't think this is universal. It may be true for a great many large companies. But for a ton of smaller companies, I think the dynamics can often be different. I do think it starts with the assumption it has to be fair for both sides. An employee offers their services in...

How Has The Balance Of Power Changed For Employee - Employer Relationship Compared To 50 Years Ago?

To be clear, the question I'm asking is if the balance has changed compared to what it was 50 years ago. Not who has the most power now.

How Has The Balance Of Power Changed For Employee - Employer Relationship Compared To 50 Years Ago?

Thanks. Do you think an employer should be allowed to determine how many employees are required to do the work?

    THE FBG Fashion Thread :style:

I've become friends with the owner of https://www.ychroma.com/ and I love a bunch of his clothing. It's designed for 50+ year old guys who don't feel inclined to fade off into the distance. I love the shirt jackets. And the henley's are outstanding. It's not cheap but the quality is exceptional.

How Has The Balance Of Power Changed For Employee - Employer Relationship Compared To 50 Years Ago?

Interesting. Super small sample size but pretty much a symmetrical distribution so far.

    32-Hour Work Week

Thanks. 15-2 is about what I'd expect on that. I think people are looking for the exact same pay and benefits but working fewer hours.

How Has The Balance Of Power Changed For Employee - Employer Relationship Compared To 50 Years Ago?

Sorry that's not clear. If you I think employees have “much more” power today than they did 50 years ago,, then the answer is "Much more power to the Employee" I mean it for what way things have moved. I'll add to the descriptions.

    32-Hour Work Week

How many no's were there against the 2 yes's? I'd expect the big majority to be "no's" on that offer.

Also, if folks could give context or additional insight on how they vote, that would be helpful.

How Has The Balance Of Power Changed For Employee - Employer Relationship Compared To 50 Years Ago?

Good discussion on a 32 hour work week https://forums.footballguys.com/threads/32-hour-work-week.812411/ Topic came up for how the balance of power has shifted between Employee and Employer over the years. Thought it might make a good poll.
