So far I’ve allocated to VTI (majority), VOOG, and VGT as well as some individual stocks [biotechs I like (IOVA, AUTL, TGTX), Pfizer, Microsoft, Apple, Google]. Still have about 25% cash - in a Money Market getting 4.99%.
About to be forced to exercise a variety of options/RSUs/stock as our company was acquired by a much larger one. I've spent some time looking at a 2-3 aggressive ETF portfolio. Any suggestions? These are the ETFs I have looked at VGT/VOO/VOOG/VTI/QQQM/VUG. This is a large amount of money for me...
Same for us. Eight or so one on one sessions to work on problem areas. Reading went from 28 to 34, and total from 31 to 34 on ACT. Well worth it as 34 is the minimum score for max merit at at most schools that offer it.
Good luck 🍀!
Winner, winner 💰😎. To be honest, wish the buyout was next year to give me another set of options, but a buyout was my goal.
Now I just have to hope AbbVie keeps us on, going from 350 employees to 50k+ 😟.
On the lookout for a similar company to join if the acquisition goes poorly.
I sent an inquiry to the local Lexus dealer (we only have one in OKC) and a few Toyota dealers regarding the new GX and Land Cruisers coming out this year. I was told I would be 130th on the GX list and over 100 on the Land Cruiser list. The Lexus guy asked if I wanted to put a $ 1,000 deposit...
I’d love to get a Bronco, but was hesitant since it’s a Ford. I’m glad they seem to be working out.
Now, looking at Bronco vs. 4 runner, but refuse to pay a markup. Will look at Land Cruiser when released as an option.
Funny my preference was the higher ranked schools. I felt (and still do to some degree) tremendous guilt that he didn’t go to the better school when we could “afford” it.
We had a similar decision. What I did was lay everything on the table. School A would cost 320-360 and school B 15 (yes, over 300k difference).
Overall, schools A were much higher ranked, but school B admitted him to a special program with similar outcomes.
I let him know I’d support either...
