My wife and I moved from NY to NC three years ago. I was 54, her 58. No kids. Moved into a subdivision that is somewhat mixed in age, but skews a bit younger than us (and plenty of people with kids). I work at home and she found a job.
Acquaintances are easy. But making actual friends...
These movies frustrated me more than anything. The Cenobites were cool and all, but I always felt they were woefully underused. And can we have a rematch for the second film? Because I thought they were all powerful.
Good topic.
Had a good call today with an old client to increase my workload. As I enter the twilight of my career, I want to do more (and more meaningful) work for fewer clients.
Now I'm having a beer and reading FBG.
It would have been higher had I played too - was too busy/etc to do another list thing. But this is top 3 for me for all the reasons you mention. The story is pretty meh, and the ending is a little silly, but man, that atmosphere (and some pretty brutal deaths)... so good.
Has anyone seen the black and white / monochrome version of Fury Road? I have the bluray set of all the Mad Max movies, and I had forgotten it included that. Will watch tonight or tomorrow.
Looks like #9 if my math is correct.
here's a link to the page where I rank them over several posts: https://forums.footballguys.com/threads/timdraft-4-movie-category-draft.680027/page-83
Just got back from vacation and am pleasantly surprised by this month's choice. Love the Mad Max films (have the same ranks as MoP and Eephus: 2-4-1-3). In one of Tim's movie drafts, I ranked the car chase at the end of Mad Max 2 as the 4th best of all time. And I only ranked it 4th because I...
I get it, and yes, that's a tough spot. Six months is pretty reasonable too - I can't argue with that.
Hit prettymuch all of us up when you need more traders :)
This is exactly why many of these end up being short-term. Unless it's scaled up, it (usually) becomes not worth it, even at decent numbers. $1,000/weekend sounds nice. But like you say, it's likely a $40/hr thing once it's all said and done. And even that sounds good to many people... once or...
If it's a truly secret IP invented by the company, I get it (but there are already things in place to protect those). But if its easy to learn and replicate... how secret and unique can it really be? Can the IP be patented / copyrighted? Or is it more like a recipe?
I've also known business...
Video stores were great, weren't they? Particularly for horror.
For what it's worth, Amazon rents tons of movies for a few bucks ($3-$4 in most cases). I've watched a lot of stuff that way.
Same. I like my glass pipe once in awhile, but mostly roll joints. Well, roll is not the right word (I was never good at it) - I use the paper cones, which makes it really easy. I have a little a little metal tube I bought on Amazon to hold them - take a hit or two, put it in the tube, it goes...
Just watched Arrival. I really enjoyed it. Very visual, very trippy story (eventually), and it kept me very engaged. Which is cool because it's a movie about... talking? Besides his big, visual style, that's been my biggest takeaway - Denis keeps me very interested in the subject and the story...
I like your start. Plow through that stuff. I'm a big proponent of a really nice, informative website, but in the beginning, any website works, and for service trades, puts you ahead of most of your competition.
