Slow rookie drafts are so great for encouraging trades during the draft. And the fun draft experience last a week or slightly more instead of just a few hours. Lots of time to mull things over, wheel and deal, etc. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
(Live REDRAFT drafts are awesome, of course)
I LOVE all of these write ups! You need to do a Debbie Downer thread every year to list the downside of the top 20 rookies. I think it would hilarious (and informative/reality check).
Yeah, those 3 WRs are connected at the hip in my 2 rookie drafts so far. My guess is that Legette went before the other 2 because of a clearer short term path to starting.
@barackdhouse posted the beginning of our SharkPool FFPC draft (1QB, TE-P) in the “FFPC dyansty” thread, but thought I’d put my reply here for general discussion about the large “10 thru 20 tier” to get opinions on which ones stand above the rest in other’s minds…
Top 4 tier is: MHJr, Nabers...
To me, this draft is as chalky a top 9 as you’ll find in a 1 QB/TE-P league. There’s the top 4 tier, and the 5 thru 9 tier.
From there, I think there’s a wide open 10 thru…sheesh…20-ish tier that’s all interchangeable from this group:
QBs: Williams, Daniels
RBs: Corum, Wright, Lloyd
WRs...
Agreed. People might trade up into the top 3 or 4, but after that, might as well stand pat and grab a guy from the large tier of players in the mid-1st to mid-2nd range.
I actually don’t understand why you’d have to give up a 1st to go from TLaw to Murray. I want to say seems bsckwards, but I wouldn’t put a 1st on the other side either.
Let’s bump this thread since FFPC drafts are already starting to roll.
Good luck everyone. And to my ShaprkPool FFPC league mates, please leave something decent for me at 2.1.
I think there are also some unfair superficial things that I might even hold against AOC…he kinda looks like a gomer, a schlub and a little pudgy. Doesn’t look the rock star QB part whereas Minshew kinda does.
I think that’s an underlying bias of mine at least, and I’m hoping AOC approves me wrong.
